Hive Blockchain plans for the Year
7 comments
Greetings!
On New Year's Day, I posted on my WhatsApp status about my Hive recap for 2024. A friend, who is also active in this blockchain, commented and commended my efforts, especially regarding the number of articles I wrote. She went on to say that she plans to take the blockchain more seriously in 2025, and I easily concurred with her. As for me, I’m never backing out or slowing down. I want to keep breaking records even as I set them.
Sometime last year, two or three friends came to me with discouraging words about quitting writing on the Hive blockchain. According to them, the platform doesn’t pay reasonable funds and requires too much hard work compared to other places where people earn big money. Each time I heard these comments, I blocked my ears, smiled at them, and turned my back because these are people who rely on their parents for finances or have boyfriends footing their bills. Guess what? Even the so-called "big platforms" they talked about—where they claimed people earn more—they don’t write there either.
This year, let’s stay away from discouragement!
My Hive Goals for 2025
The main target is to increase my Hive Power (HP) above 7,000HP. Yes, I’m setting the benchmark high, but I’m confident that I’ll hit and even surpass it, just as I exceeded my goal last year. Currently, I’m at 4,250HP, which means I need to work towards an additional 2,750HP. Breaking this down on a weekly basis, I must generate a minimum of 58HP per week. This seems like a big task, but it’s definitely achievable. In cases where I fall short, I’ll facilitate the goal by using Power Ups.
This brings me to my methods for achieving this goal:
Writing:
Writing is something I’ve never found difficult, except during particularly tight or rough schedules. This year, I will maintain my current pace of writing two articles per day, reducing it to one article on days when my schedule is too tight—just like these past few days when I traveled home and had to limit screen time to spend time with family.
Not just any articles, though—I'll focus on writing quality pieces that meet my personal standards. Last year, I discovered some great communities that fit well with my interests, and I plan to continue contributing to them while also exploring new ones.
There will come a time when I become a whale, and I won’t need to write as many articles to meet my target. But for now, I’m still far off, and I intend to put in the hard work to reach my goals.
Engagement:
The friend I mentioned earlier(in first paragraph) brought my engagement level to my attention. While I considered it to be low, she observed it as significant. I plan to maintain my current pace of engagement and increase it whenever I have the capacity. Engagement is a significant booster for everything in the blockchain ecosystem.
Power Up:
Yes, yes, yes! I’ll definitely prioritize Power Ups this year. I don’t want to miss out on anything, especially when I’ve noticed my articles getting snubbed by voters because I haven’t powered up to their expectations. Lol. 😂
Thanks for reading.
