The Garden snail

The hot and dry Arizona environment isn't really suited for land snails but given some moisture (such as after a good rain shower) you can often find the Brown Garden Snail ( Helix aspera ) out and about

This one was content to explore my little yard and since they generally aren't a trouble to me, I leave them in peace
