Hedge Fund bans hiring of former Citadel employees

According to Bloomberg, Multi-strategy Hedge Fund Balyasny Asset Management has imposed a ban on the hiring of former citadel employees.

According to the network, Balyasny Asset Management says it can no longer hire from hedge fund Citadel’s Global Fixed Income business with the ban extending to anyone who "works there or supports the business, as well as those that worked for the unit after May 15 but have since left".

While Balyasny did not provide a reason for the "unprecedented" decision to deny hiring of former Citadel employess, Zerohedge reports that it has previously heard of
