The difficulties in the world can force you into self-reflection.

I've heard so much about the difficulties people face and I've also encountered my fair share of difficulties. As far as I can tell, there are levels to these difficulties. Some of them run deep to the point that taking a step forward seems as bad as taking a step backwards.
Imagine a situation where some people are on the brink of starvation and they don't have any clue when they will be having a meal. Some others are shitting themselves to death with dysentery and they can't afford to get good healthcare services for themselves.
These things can force you into self-reflection.
Coming across difficulties wouldn't be in anyone's wishes or desires, but let's say it and let's say it right; anyone that is alive will surely come across some difficulties. It's an existential burden we all have to bear even when we wouldn't want to deal with any of that.
We, at this point, have to know how to act right in the face of difficulties. The first idea would be to not make yourself miserable by sitting around, feeling sorry for yourself and waiting for people to pity you and your situation. That attitude only gets you into more suffering. It mostly leads to depression and many have given up their lives because they couldn't deal with overwhelming difficulties.
This is why it isn't advisable to give too much credit/respect to any difficulty you are facing. Recognize the problem for what it is and try all you can to deal with that. You will get to see that as far as you don't give up trying, you will be a step closer to overcoming that difficulty.
How do you cope with difficult situations?
