Past, Present and Future. ABBA forever - Three Tunes Tuesday.

It has been considered a courtesy - for generations - to show one's gratitude and my gratitude in this post goes to one of the greatest musical groups to ever originate from Stockholm, Sweden.
This musical group was formed back in 1972 by 4 friends - Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-frid. That's a combo of 2 resourceful guys and 2 ladies with melodious voices.
Can you already guess the name of this musical group?
We will talk about their songs in a minute, but let's use this moment to recognize the brilliance of @ablaze, the brain behind #ThreeTuneTuesday. Thanks so much for organizing this weekly initiative.
Get in, everyone!!! Let's enjoy today's tunes.
If you are still trying to match the clues about this musical group, I will save you the headache. Ever heard of ABBA? My spotlight is on them in this week's edition of #ttt.
My childhood is filled with memories of listening to their song, all thanks to my Dad who had very high ratings for their songs. Up to this day, I still play ABBA's hits and I momentarily check out their music videos on YouTube.
For the benefit of this post, I will highlight three tunes from these lads;
1. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
This was released in 1979, years before my birth. Haha. I originally thought it was released in the 21st century because the disc of the song which we have at home was titled ABBA's Greatest Hit 2001.
An unofficial title for this song which happens to be quite as popular as the official one is 'A Man After Midnight'.
You might be curious about why the lady is asking for a man after midnight. Haha. Don't overthink it. Just listen to the song and dance away your sorrow. Hehe.
It's hard to believe a song of this quality had already been out there for 4 decades. I love it.
2. Knowing Me Knowing You
Behold, the greatest break-up song!
There is something about this song that keeps pulling you into it once you hear the first line of its lyrics. "No more carefree laughter". That's the line and it's so true.
You know I don't wish a break-up for anyone, but if you happen to see someone with tears in their eyes after a breakup, share this melodious song with the person. It's a very heartwarming masterpiece, courtesy of ABBA.
As they said in the song, "breaking up is never easy". Never!
3. Take A Chance On Me
Here is one of the many tunes from this musical group that uplifted the soul of listeners. I always refer to this one as the flirtatious hit and I genuinely love everything about the song especially the choreography in the video.
Those ladies didn't hold back. Haha. They went all-in; Call, raise, check, win. Haha. Flirting is like a game of poker and the two ladies aced it in that video without doing nasty stuff like it's done in music videos of this era. Amazing stuff!
If you are in the mood to flirt (not sure I should be advising anyone to just go about flirting 😂), this is the song for ya.
One of the things I love about these guys is the simplicity of their music videos. There isn't any stuff shiny enough to distract you from the song itself.
Like I said in my previous submission to this, I'm not a big fan of music videos but gimme ABBA's music videos and I will vibe to them every day... All day.
And this makes it a wrap on this week's edition of #ttt.
Save this post. Listen to the songs. Enjoy the videos. Love the musical group. Ask me for more.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma
