A Family Dinner at Café Laguna in Nustar Mall

Happy Sunday Hivers!
In our family, it has almost become a tradition that whenever someone arrives home from abroad, we go out for dinner together. Don’t get me wrong, nothing beats homemade dishes, especially when they’re cooked by our parents. But sometimes, it also feels nice to try something different, to enjoy new flavors and visit places we don’t usually go to.
Last week, my little brother arrived home from Canada. He spent two years there studying and working at the same time. Since it had been a while since we last had dinner out with him, he invited the whole family to have dinner at Nustar Mall. It’s one of the newer malls, and it’s just close to our place.
Actually, my mom had no idea that my younger brother was coming home. He really wanted to surprise her. This is the video where he surprised our mom .
My mom was completely surprised, and you can really see in her expression how genuinely surprised and happy she was.
We decided to dine at Café Laguna. They serve Filipino cuisine, and we’re actually one of their repeat customers. They have many branches, and most of them are located in malls.
We ordered shrimp, grilled bangus, beef steak, pork humba, fried chicken, and chopsuey. For our drinks, we chose cucumber with a hint of orange. We went for something a bit healthier since we’re really not fond of drinking soft drinks.
Honestly, we really love the way they season and prepare their dishes, that’s why we keep coming back. Aside from their delicious food, their staff are very friendly and accommodating, and we also enjoy the ambiance of the place.
Do you also tend to return to a restaurant if you really like it, or do you prefer exploring and trying different foods? That’s exactly what happened that evening, after we surprised our mom, we went to dine at Café Laguna, located in Nustar Mall.
