Where the Effigy Dwells
A young girl sat on the jagged rocks of her dilemma,
near the edge of the shore.
Two tiny drops of water covered her sorrow
as familiarity beyond a mountain over the horizon
she couldn't ignore.
Visions of celebrations past weaved though,
with shards accompanied by shadowy, hostile,
insensitive tales of woe.
She laments. HE hears her cry and listens.
Once that place was my home.
Once that place was my refuge; my all.
Should I return hitherto while the wound still rubs raw?
Unable to mend the warm respect and adoration
torn apart by disharmony,
leaving an open sore.
Exacerbated by bashing spirits with seething words of disgust.
Instilling fear.
Tearing down confidence with weapons of war.
I know not the final thread of the needle that pierced my resolve.
But now I am of age.
I know where the effigy dwells,
for within there lies my pain. My heartache.
Solitude is a choice, HE interrupts, reminding her softly in thought.
Not to be feared. So do not fret, for I am with you.
Several long moments drift by, snatching her burdens in their wake.
She lifts her head high and promises...
Gird up my spirit I choose,
with good seeds and good deeds.
Knowing You, My Heavenly Father, is forever watching.
You will allow harm to visit me no longer.
I thank God for his loving embrace and wisdom,
guiding me out of the dark, dread of night,
and into a place of calm.
Decay has fallen away.
All those moments, both sorrowful and full of glee,
will be cast upon the water,
like guano discarded,
to sink into oblivion.
Forever lost.
Hopefully sowing rebirth into the depths.
Eagerly, I peer past it all, rising above the fray.
And Give Thanks!
For an alternate path to healing I know not where awaits.
Instilling hope, hope, hope, and fortitude.
Let the new dew drops
of Your precious blood
descend in abundance
and
shower me forward.

In the post,
, NFTShowroom has featured all the month's feeling of home themed Art minted so far on the NFT Showroom's home page / twitter. Also, Alien Art Hive will be curating participants' blog posts. This challenge was intended for the full month of November. Participants were required to:- make art incorporating the feeling of home theme;
- mint it on ;
- make a blog post about it in Alien Art Hive; and
- use #nftshowroom in your tags
I love the theme, so below are my steps I used to create my seventh design.

My Creation Process:
For creation of the "feeling of home" scene, I discovered a lovely image of a young girl sitting alone on the edge of the shore. What was she thinking, I wondered? That's when I decided to include a soliloquy so that she could explain her thoughts and feelings.
The actual events are happening in the background. She's recounting her trauma and emergence from the ordeal as she peers from behind a tall mushroom.
I surrounded her with a forest setting in the background in order to complete the still.
Uploading all images into Canva, my design program, I added layers of elements.
A nice effect I thought placing the female delivering the soliloquy facing forward.
While recalling her past, I placed the younger version of herself looking back toward home.

A simple animation with the eye looking on providing ushering in calm and whispering encouragement.
Deep Dream Generator provided the results for 70 Credits.
She's given a glimpse of home to decide whether, after contemplation, she wants to return.

Images included in the still version are as follows:

Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my final mixed media project for the November the feeling of home challenge.
