Quick, let's go, let's do a 15m DIY mini project just for the vibes!

So I have this gorgeous little green cup that unfortunately doesn't get to be used. If I'm not mistaken @m31 gifted it to me for Christmas either a year or several back, and I absolutely adore it, but it just hides away in the cupboard and never gets to be used and doesn't have the chance to shine.

That has bothered me for a while now and I'm not sure how the idea came to me.. well, I do it did visually.. it was a mental image that just occurred to me, so.. I figured what to do about this cute cup in order to give it its life and purpose back.

The reason why I haven't used it as a cup is supposed to be used is twofold. One, because of its size. It is nice and cute, but for consuming liquids a Josie always gravitates towards bigger mugs. Second, there already is a resident THE Josie mug, which is this gorgeous Eurasian hoopoe -

There's a whole backstory as to why Eurasian hoopoe is Josies favourite 'local' bird.

It all goes back to when Josie was a wee tiny thing.. shouldn't have been more than 4 years old, maybe younger still. I recall being kind of salty about the fact that there are no parrots just flying about in Latvian nature whilst flipping through the red book of endangered species, maybe hoping to find parrots there.. and then I flipped the page to Eurasian hoopoe! THIS! I thought to myself, is the closest thing to a parrot, this is now my favourite ('local') bird! I put 'local' like that, because, theoretically, it could be possible to see it, but not likely as it is endangered.

I think I've seen it IRL once or maybe twice now in my whole life.

But enough with tangents, let's get back to the mini project! And for this, we'll need to irreversibly damage the cup with a drainage hole.

I'm sure you're guessing where this is going by now, and yes, it is to avoid root rot.

Would you like some rocks with that?

@m31 don't kill me, but I think this is the cutest darn thing I've done in a long while.. just look at it! ^^

My mental image downloaded into a physical form. You should have seen my mad-scientist, autistic-joy giggling whilst beholding the end result!

Giving the term mud coffee a whole lot more literal meaning! xD
