⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵...(Tour of "High Island")...Continued...

[Last time...]
In a flurry of their own tongue, the boy explained to the seven warriors that they had been invited aboard the great ship. The lead warrior looked up cautiously. The hull seemed taller that any teepee he and ever seen, and the number faces appearing along the rail kept increasing by the minute.
Finally, he nodded, but motioned to one warrior to stay with the canoes.

[Silverton…below deck…chartroom…]

If ever there was a more queer sight, Commander Kerrislravenhill could not remember it. There in the chartroom of the mighty Frigate Silverton sat seven Seneca warriors, a boy, the Captain, herself and Commander Galligan…
“Welcome to the Frigate Silverton of the Royal Scottish Navy!” The Captain led off as he packed his pipe full of MacBaren’s tobacco and lit it.

The warriors who were gazing about the walls of the room, covered with strange charts and drawings now brought their attention squarely on the Captain.
“Abrursha kesh bah!” The lead warrior said loudly, pointing at the Captain’s pipe.

The young boy quickly translated, “He want smoke too!”
The Captain raised one eyebrow and then after exhaling a large blue cloud of smoke into the room spoke, “He does, does he?”

The young boy nodded enthusiastically and the Captain then passed his pipe down to the warrior.
Warrior Big Bear turned the burning pipe around in his hands twice before venturing a toke. He inhaled and his eyes rolled back a second and then he exhaled a large blue cloud of smoke…

“Ah, Sheshwah!” He grunted as he passed it to Running Fox.

Running Fox exclaimed much the same response and the young boy laughed,
“Haha! They like!”
“They like do they? Haw! Haw!” The Captain exclaimed with a grin.
Finally, the last warrior handed the pipe back to the Captain and the meeting commenced. After some conversation between the warriors, the young boy spoke...
“You come up river! Big ships no come up river?”

“Aye, we come up river…” The Captain replied patiently as he took another drag on his pipe.
“Why you come? You attack Seneca Nation?!”
At this the Captain sat up straight and set his pipe down…
“No. I come to bring trade!”
“Trade?” The boy then communicated the answer to his peers and after some exchange turned back to the captain…”What kind trade?”
“Silvers fur wark!”
