Splinterlands: Arachne Weaver is an amazing healer in Equalizer

Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Arachne Weaver.
Featured cards
Arachne Weaver is a death monster that costs 5 mana. It starts with corrupted healing. It learns scavenger at level 3 and poison at level 6. I have this card at level 2 so it just has corrupted healing and its an amazing heal that can heal the entire party.
Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is Equalizer. This means that all monsters have the same health. There is also 38 mana available and I can choose only death splinter.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Thaddius Brood | 4 | Summoner | -1 health and magic |
Harklaw | 8 | 1st | Shield, Immunity, and Demoralize |
Venari Bonesmith | 4 | 2nd | Poison and Life Leech |
Demise Archon Faust | 5 | 3rd | Flying and Lookout |
Kain Hace | 8 | 4th | Blast |
Arachne Weaver | 5 | 5th | Corrupted Healing |
Ravenhood Warden | 4 | 6th | Protect and Inspire |
Total Mana: | 38 |
I use Thaddius Brood as my summoner for the -1 health and magic. Harklaw is my tank with shield, immunity, and demoralize. Next up is Venari Bonesmith with poison and life leech as my backup tank. Demise Archon Faust is my third monster with flying and lookout. My 4th monster is Kain with blast. My 5th monster is Arachne Weaver for the healing. Then I have a support ranged monsters with protect and inspire. I built this lineup to keep my monsters alive and also to increase the damage that I have. I think that the magic monsters work out better in the long run.
Round 1
At first glance, I think that this match is my win. I reduced my enemies' magic and melee damage, so it is less threatening. With no affliction on my opponent's side, I don't see any way for my opponent to do any damage to my lineup. With corrupted healing, I will heal my entire lineup for 7 health each turn, and my opponent's damage on my tank is barely that since my tank has the shield ability. Once I take out one or two monsters, this match is my win.
I ended up winning this match a few rounds later, as I thought I would. My tank did have its health reduced due to the corrupted healing, but it survived long enough to tank all the hits like I expected.
Conclusion
The battle this time played out exactly how I thought it would. The combination of demoralize and my summoners magic decrease worked out well to limit my opponent's damage. I was able to focus on dealing damage, and once I took out a few monsters, the rest wasn't an issue. It's too bad that immunity doesn't make it immune to the corrupted healing. Either way, the healing kept my monsters alive, and it's hard to overcome. The equalizer ruleset just makes that corrupted healing way too powerful.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
