My Favorite Music Channels in YouTube

Hello, everyone! I am delighted to greet you again through the YouHive community. Strangely, I had not participated until today, but we are in the last week of this fun initiative. We're reviewing music channels on YouHive, our favorites, in fact. I can't help but mention Shakira. I usually watch YouTube on my TV, and every time I log in, it plays one of the Colombian singer's music videos on my feed, usually the newest one, so I leave it playing continuously for hours. The TV knows, there's no doubt about that, but usually another artist tags along with her, the Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz. Let's start with their most recent song, which was uploaded a few days ago to Sanz's YouTube channel.

¡Hola a todos! Me alegra saludar nuevamente a través de la comunidad YouHive. Extrañamente no había participado hasta hoy, pero estamos en la última semana de esta divertida iniciativa. Estamos reseñando canales de música en YouHive, de hecho nuestros preferidos. No puedo evitar hablar de Shakira, generalmente veo Youtube en mi televisor, y cada vez que entro se encarga de poner algún video musical de la colombiana en mi feed, generalmente el más nuevo para que lo deje reproduciéndose por horas continuamente. El televisor ya sabe, de eso no hay duda, pero generalmente un artista se colea junto a ella, el español Alejandro Sanz. Empecemos con la canción más reciente de ambos, que se subió hace unos días al canal de YouTube de Sanz.

It was very exciting for me to see these great artists come together again. I think the first time they did it, I wasn't instantly convinced, but the most important thing is that they became good friends, and the chemistry they achieve when they get together has made all the songs successful. Bésame is the newest one, but I admit I was surprised that it was only shared on Alejandro Sanz's YouTube channel, especially in this day and age when collaborative music videos can easily be released on both channels. But in the end, I don't mind. Alejandro has many valuable songs, calm songs, and songs with dreamy lyrics. His music videos are very enjoyable for all of us who follow him, and seeing him live is very exciting, perhaps even more so than the official themed videos.

Fue muy emocionante para mí ver a estos grandes artistas unirse nuevamente. Creo que la primera vez que lo hicieron no me convencieron al instante, pero lo más importante es que se hicieron buenos amigos y la química que logran cuando se juntan ha hecho que todas las canciones sean exitosas. Bésame es la más nueva pero admito que me sorprendió que solo se compartiera en el canal de Youtube de Alejandro Sanz, especialmente en esta época donde los lanzamientos de videos musicales con colaboración fácilmente pueden estrenarse en ambos canales, pero al final no me importa, Alejandro tiene muchas canciones valiosas, canciones tranquilas, y canciones con una lírica de ensueño. Sus videos musicales son muy gratos para todos los que le seguimos, incluso verlo en vivo es muy emocionante, quizás más que los videos oficiales con una temática.

The second video I'm sharing with you is also on Alejandro's channel, and it's for the song Te Lo Agradezco Pero No, from 2007. It was the second time we saw them make music together, and it was a modest success at the time. I've always thought that these guys love each other, and some of Shakira's fans think that her love story could have been very different with him, but well, that's out of our hands 😅 There's something peculiar about Alejandro's music videos, and that is that they tend to have few views on his official YouTube channel, since Warner Music is in charge of republishing them on their official channels, taking views away from the artist. Another thing that doesn't help is that old videos by Alejandro Sanz, like the one I've shared above, are not in HD format, which is disappointing for those of us who love to spend hours enjoying music videos. Now, Shakira's channel is PERFECT!!!! And I'll tell you why...

El segundo video que les comparto también está en el canal de Alejandro, es de la canción Te Lo Agradezco Pero No, de 2007. Fue la segunda vez que los vimos hacer música juntos y fue un éxito modesto en su tiempo. Siempre he pensado que estos chicos se aman y algunos de los fans de Shakira pensamos que junto a él su historia en el amor pudo haber sido muy distinta, pero bueno, ya eso se sale de nuestras manos 😅 Hay una peculiaridad con los videos musicales de Alejandro, y es que suelen tener pocas vistas en su canal oficial de Youtube, ya que la empresa Warner Music se encarga de republicarlos en sus canales oficiales, quitando vistas para el artista. Otra cosa que no ayuda es que videos antiguos de Alejandro Sanz, como el que les he compartido aquí arriba no están en formato HD, eso es poco grato para los que amamos pasar horas apreciando videos musicales. Ahora, el canal de Shakira es PERFCTO!!!! Y les digo por qué...

Shakira's company has been responsible for uploading all her music videos in high definition, and believe me, not all artists take such care with what they offer on their channels. I think that during the pandemic, they finished remastering the few that were missing and uploaded videos that weren't yet on the channel. I was happy. In fact, I think I once complained in a comment. I remember that the music video for the 2007 song “The One” was missing, and that bothered me a lot because I couldn't finish putting together my official playlist. But today it's one of the best channels. I said it was perfect, but maybe not quite. The music video for the song “Estoy Aquí” in its Spanish version is still missing. it seems that Shakira herself wants to erase it from existence, and it wouldn't be surprising. We all know that Shakira has two albums prior to her first international album, and she herself has taken it upon herself to erase that past, music videos, album editions, and even a soap opera she starred in when she was very young, which today only Colombians from the early nineties remember in the depths of their memories.

La empresa de Shakira se ha encargado de subir todos sus videos musicales en alta definición, y créanme que no todos los artistas tienen tanto cuidado en lo que ofrecen en sus canales. Creo que durante la pandemia se terminó de remasterizar lo poco que faltaba y se subieron videos que aún no se encontraban en el canal. Yo fui feliz, de hecho creo que alguna vez me quejé en un comentario 🤣 recuerdo que faltaba el video musical de la canción The One de 2007 y eso me molestaba mucho porque no podía terminar de armar mi playlist oficial. Pero hoy es uno de los mejores canales, dije que perfecto, pero quizás no tanto 😬 todavía falta el video musical de la canción Estoy Aquí en su versión para España, pareciera que la misma Shakira quiere borrarlo de la existencia, y no sería raro, todos sabemos que Shakira tiene dos discos previos a su primer álbum internacional, y ella misma se ha encargado de borrar ese pasado, videos musicales, ediciones de álbumes y hasta una telenovela que protagonizó muy joven y que hoy solo los colombianos de inicio de los noventa solo recuerdan en lo más profundo de sus memorias.

In short, I recommend both artists' channels. They are kings on YouTube, each in their own genre, and even together. It's impossible not to find one of them on the other's channel, and with artistic careers dating back to the 1990s, we're talking about around 50 music videos each, plus multiple live performances. This YouHive initiative ends on Friday, but I still want to invite two good friends to participate. I would love to see @rosana6 reviewing The Cranberries' channel, maybe she'll discover something I don't know about, and the charismatic @maitt87 with her suggestions for continuing to love Laura Pausini, especially the Italian singer's latest work. I don't know, surprise me, girls, hahaha. Over and out!

En fin, recomiendo el canal de ambos artistas, reyes en Youtube cada uno en su género o incluso juntos, es imposible no encontrar la presencia de alguno de ellos en el canal del otro y con carreras artísticas que vienen desde los años noventa estamos hablando de al rededor de 50 videos musicales cada uno, sumado a múltiples presentaciones en vivo. Esta iniciativa de YouHive termina el Viernes, pero aún así quiero invitar a dos buenas amigas a participar, me encantaría ver a @rosana6 haciendo un review del canal de The Cranberries, quizás descubra algo que no conozco, a la carismática @maitt87 con sus propuestas para seguir amando a Laura Pausini, especialmente lo más nuevo de la italiana, no sé, ustedes sorpréndanme chicas jajaja, cambio y fuera! 😅 ✌️
