When There Is No More Secrets

Mind reading in a relationship can be crazy. Imagine lying to your partner to their face, and deep down they already know the truth of the situation; they already found out you lied to them but yet act like it's nothing. You might actually feel stupid and overwhelmed when you get to find out he is a mind reader. I guess you will have to walk away, shy, or even wish the ground would open up and swallow you whole.

I will say I'm glad there is no such thing as someone getting to read other people's minds and knowing the truth about them and knowing what they are thinking about, though most times we try to conclude or read someone based on their facial expression, body language, or attitude, but we can't be 100% sure. Most times it turns out we're wrong, sometimes right.

Having such power, I have seen them in movies and novels whereby the girl was so naive about her partner mare touching him, she could hear his thoughts and what he was thinking. Though it was one of the gifts she had and she used that to find out who her true friends were and what their thinking was about her. She found out her friends were planning to harm her though she acted she knew nothing and played along.

At some point she got to know the true intention of the guy she fell for. He didn't love her but got close to her just because of his parents' pleasure and selfish plans. It was so hard for the protagonist to leave her lover; she told him about her gift, and she has to wear gloves whenever she is around him so she won't be able to invade his thoughts and know what he is thinking.

It was a touching love story because at the end the guy had to betray his parents and fell genuinely in love with my protagonist.I would say it's a good gift if used in this context to find out others true intentions about you, but what happens when you just can't accept the truth and instead choose to live in lies? Most times, truth hurts.I believe God has his own reasons for not giving out this gift to people.

It can be used for evil and for good too. Whichever way, I would love to have this gift as a person instead of my partner having it; it will at least give me leverage. I promise I won't use it for evil or otherwise, just to know what lies beneath the calm and gentle aura of people, and it will all be found knowing what people are thinking deep down.

But then I will say this would cause more harm than good when people get to know you have such a gift. They begin to act in a kind of way just to please you instead of being who they are.Trust me, if I can read my mind, it will be a secret I will keep to myself, and if my partner could, there is no harm in being an open book.
