Flower Hello friends of #PhotoFeed, today I'm sharing a photo of a Passion Fruit Flower or French Guava Flower.

Since I was a child, I used to visit the house of some grandparents we consider family. From the moment I arrived, I would stand in the middle of the yard and start smelling deeply, searching for the rich aroma of the Passion Fruit Flower.

I loved playing this way, closing my eyes and letting my nose guide me to its flowers. Even though this plant never bore fruit, it bloomed frequently, and I always went to it in search of the aroma I loved so much.

It was during my adolescence that I was able to see the fruits of this variety, as my father planted one at home.

A few months ago, I planted another passion fruit plant, but to my surprise, this flower isn't the same. The flowers should be white on the periphery and violet-blue in the center. The one in today's photo is completely white and doesn't have the aroma I love so much. 🥺

Hola amigos de #PhotoFeed, hoy les comparto una foto hecha a una Flor de Maracuyá o Flor de Guayaba Francesa.

Desde niña visitaba la casa de unos abuelitos que consideramos como familia y desde que llegaba a su casa me paraba en el medio del patio y comenzaba o oler profundamente en busca del rico aroma de la Flor de Maracuyá.

Me encantaba jugar de esa forma, pues cerraba mis ojos y dejaba que mi nariz me guiara hasta sus flores, a pesar de que esta planta nunca llegó a dar frutos si florecía con frecuencia y siempre iba hacia ella en busca del aroma que tanto me gustaba.

En mi adolescencia fue que pude ver los frutos de esta variedad, pues mi papá sembró una en casa.

Hace unos meses volvió a sembrar otra planta de Maracuyá, pero para mí asombro esta flor no es igual, pues las flores deben ser de color blanco en la periferia y en el centro de color azul violáceo y la de la foto de hoy es blanca completa y no tiene el aroma que tanto me gusta 🥺.
