Greetings dear community, Valentine's Day is coming soon, so I decided to make a macrame bracelet with the figures of two capybaras in love. I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions with you, and I hope you like it 😊

Materiales / Materials

• Hilo acrílico para crochet de 1mm: fucsia, blanco, marrón, beige oscuro y beige claro.
• Regla
• Tijera
• Tabla con gancho
• Patrón

• 1 mm acrylic crochet yarn: fuchsia, white, brown, dark beige, and light beige.

Proceso / Process

Para hacer este patrón usé una

de un capibara, en la aplicación Pixel Station creé un lienzo de 11 cuadros de alto por 75 cuadros de ancho, con el selector de color y la herramienta pincel pinté las figuras cuadro por cuadro, con el bote de pintura pinté el fondo. El patrón se lee de forma vertical por lo tanto se necesitan 11 hilos guía y se harán 75 hileras de nudos.

To create this pattern, I used a

of a capybara. In the Pixel Station app, I created a canvas 11 squares high by 75 squares wide. Using the color picker and brush tool, I painted the figures square by square, and the paint bucket tool for the background. The pattern is read vertically, so 11 guide threads are needed, and 75 rows of knots will be made.

Con el hilo fucsia conté 10 hebras de 60 cm, una hebra de 70 cm y otra hebra unida al ovillo, coloqué las hebras cortas en el centro y las largas a los lados, sujeté las hebras por la mitad con el gancho de la tabla, con las hebras largas hice 20 nudos planos envolviendo las hebras del centro, los nudos planos se hacen alternado el nudo con forma de P y el nudo con forma de 4 como pueden observar en las imágenes. Al finalizar doblar en forma de U y sujetar de nuevo con el gancho de la tabla colocando de primer lugar la hebra unida al ovillo, esta será el hilo anudador de color de fondo mientras que las otras 11 serán los hilos guía.

Using the fuchsia yarn, I counted 10 strands of 60 cm each, one strand of 70 cm, and another strand attached to the ball. I placed the shorter strands in the center and the longer ones on the sides. I secured the strands in the middle with the hook on the board. With the longer strands, I made 20 flat knots, wrapping them around the center strands. The flat knots are made by alternating between the P-shaped knot and the figure-4 knot, as you can see in the images. Finally, I folded it into a U-shape and secured it again with the hook on the board, placing the strand attached to the ball first. This will be the background-colored knotting thread, while the other 11 will be the guide threads.

Cada cuadro del patrón corresponde a un nudo doble, los nudos dobles se hacen cuando el hilo andador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guías, de izquierda a derecha en las hileras impares y de derecha a izquierda en las hileras pares, comenzar haciendo las dos primeras hileras de nudos solo con el hilo anudados funcias y solo a la tercera hilera agregar el hilo blanco para ir haciendo los cambios de color que corresponden cruzando los hilos anudadores por detrás.

Each square of the pattern corresponds to a double knot. Double knots are made when the walking thread wraps twice around each of the guide threads, from left to right in odd rows and from right to left in even rows. Start by making the first two rows of knots only with the working thread, and only in the third row add the white thread to make the corresponding color changes by crossing the knotting threads behind.

Para la hilera 20 agregar el hilo anudador marrón y luego los beige para hacer las figuras de los capibaras.

For row 20 add the brown knotting thread and then the beige ones to make the capybara figures.

Para la hilera 57 solo dejar los hilos anudadores fucsia y blanco y completar el resto de las 75 hileras. Luego hacer 4 hileras tomando juntos en los bordes un hilo guía adicional cada hilera. Hacer dos trenzas para completar. Esconder las puntas de los hilos andadores por detrás.

For row 57, leave only the fuchsia and white knotting threads and complete the remaining 75 rows. Then make 4 rows, picking up an additional guide thread at the edges each row. Make two braids to finish. Hide the ends of the walking threads behind.
