Six O'clock Somewhere
14 comments

It was six o'clock somewhere, and the sun was peeking through the mountain. Slowly, it spread light across the place with its golden rays. Someone got excited, jumping out of bed without hesitation, then running to the balcony to savor the first warmth of the day.
"Hmmm... Thank God for this new morning," she whispers gratefully. She was awed by the beauty she woke up to. Such a promise of a wonderful day!

And just like that, a minute passed, and natural light was all around while the town was mostly quiet, as if everyone were still tucked tightly in bed. Not them, of course, for they don't always see such a scene in their side of the universe.

So yeah, it was nice to be there, in such a perfect moment.
Near and farther away, houses in different hues - green, red, blue, and others are seen between trees. Some stand out as if competing for attention, while others seem hidden, a bit intriguing, like they want to be explored and discovered.

Outside their rooms, the early morning sun's rays glare. Striking and beautiful.

Meanwhile, the clock says it was six minutes past six, and fog still hovers through the hills in the distance. It was as if it were a different world altogether. It must be cold there! But maybe not. Things aren't always what they appear to be.

They fed their eyes and souls with those views, took photos, and got their selfies too! Then they showered and had a light breakfast. While they wished to stay a little longer, it was time to check out. It was still early, but they had to be in the wedding venue before most people would.
But first, they wrote a thank-you note to the amiable lady who allowed them to stay even on such short notice. Then they switched the lights off, closed the doors, and quietly walked away with grateful hearts for the restful night, the lovely scenery, and the new adventure ahead of them.
...Until next time, Itogon!
