Power Grid in DD Restored

Magandang buhay!

Power has been restored, thankfully.

People in the community helped pull cables and such. Those with equipment volunteered and hauled electric posts. Everyone obviously wanted the service to be back sooner, as it's been two weeks since Uwan. Life has truly been impacted by its absence - how things are done in one's home, business, etc.

But yeah, our little county lit up today, so we are very grateful to those who worked hard. It feels quieter here in our little abode without what I call the generator hour (I believe our neighbors are happy that it isn't buzzing now).

Tomorrow, our fridge should be switched on and restocked with food. We can finally use the basic stuff (heater, air fryer, and such). Yongi's hair can be blow-dried. In the next few days, our laundry basket should be empty. And by next week, I will be able to continue my project. Gee, my excitement, lol!

But thinking about it, the absence of electricity allowed us to disconnect (less screen time, hence, a good digital detox). It kept us away from processed meats and frozen stuff. No artificial juice in pitchers, and no more ice-cold sodas for the husband. And I liked it. Could we keep it that way after today? I don't know, but we shall try.

Anyway, it's been so wet for the last few days, and even today. Just when we thought Mister Sun would shine, the rain came. That's probably why my hormones haven't been at their best, as they were under the bed weather, lol!

Thankfully, the most recent storm (Verdena) has already left, so we hope the sky clears tomorrow, and we will enjoy some warm sunshine too! Because my LilGuy is already bored, he keeps digging on the couch, haha!
