Lofty Goals and Such [Slothly Savers Club]

Magandang buhay!
So we are back to reality, after the holiday fever. Hurray, 2026!
It was saddening to see Saturday Savers retire. It's been a motivating initiative, inspiring us to set realistic goals and work towards achieving them throughout the years. From it, we learned a great method of saving through its Penny-A-Day challenge, which some (if not most) are applying in the real world. So thank you, Shani, for all that you did. And here's to wishing you a fantastic retirement.π»
I was glad to learn that its initiative is continuing through
, which is on its second week now, and I'm hopping aboard, of course! The truth is, I was not going to set on-chain goals for this year, but realized it would be better to have one or two; otherwise, I would be drifting by without a real direction. Goals, they say, are a map that guides us to where we wanna go.

To share a funny little story, I once had a lofty goalβto acquire an off-road SUV from my Hive savings. However, that didn't go as I imagined. With the current market situation and prices, it has become more infeasible. Even if I were to go crazy and sell everything, it still would not be enough to buy me a new 4x4. And so we dismissed that dream for the time being, and we shall keep on, enjoying our Hive adventure instead.
Hence, the 2026 goals:
200 HBD on the vault (primary), and 500 liquid HIVE (secondary). Two realistic numbers to kick my arse when I'm feeling lazy, lol!
Anyway, a screenshot of my account wallet via
, showing my starting numbers (O HBD Savings, and 0.5 liquid HIVE).
I'm still trying to get over the holiday hangover, and finding it a little tough to do, but I'm now excited to add a bit to these two items soon. If you wish to join us on this amazing initiative, check out the
. It runs every Thursday (instead of the Saturday we got used to), with the same format (a main goal and a secondary one; weekly update, either through a post using the #SlothlySaver tag; and/or commenting on the weekly main post on the slothbuzz account). So that's about it for today. Here's to a happy and fulfilling 2026 to us all!
