Oxalis triangularis is often referred to as ‘purple shamrocks’ & commonly called false shamrock which is a species of perennial plant in the family of Oxalidaceae.

It’s native to several countries in the southern South America. This beautiful woodsorrel is typically grown as houseplant but can be grown outside in some cool climate zones preferably in light shade.

The plant leaves of this have anthocyanins abundant therefore possess antimicrobial property which is useful to humans, the leaves can also be eaten, can be used to embellish yummy desserts such as the lemon cake.

It’s free to use stock photo at will.
