Weekend Blues

One of the things I look forward to during the week is having two days off from work - Saturdays and Sundays. There's nothing better than spending my time off traveling home from Cebu City to my province. It's a relaxing sight and feeling to be able to come home after a stressful work week. Join me as I unwind and enjoy my weekend off.

The Cebu Cordova Link Expressways (CCLEX) , commonly known as the third Bridge in Cebu City, offers a breathtaking view that's truly world-class. As a Cebuano, I couldn't be prouder of this establishment. What's great about passing by here is that there's no traffic, which makes for a convenient travel experience. But what I love most about it is the stunning view of Cebu City and the town of Cordova in the province of Cordova. It's definitely a go-to route for me when I want to save time.

Before heading back to our hometown, we stopped by at Ayala to have lunch. Have you heard of the famous restaurant in Cebu that serves the best Lechon or whole roasted pig? Cebu City is also known for having one of the best elections in the Philippines. Whenever we have a craving for Lechon, we always go to this restaurant that we love because of their generous servings and reasonable prices. Cebu's Ayer Lechon is one of the restaurants in Cebu City that serve the best lechon. I also ordered my favorite fries, which I have been craving for weeks. I was finally able to satisfy my craving since I didn't have the energy to go to the mall before.

After stuffing ourselves, we had enough energy to take a three-hour motorcycle trip back home to the province up north of Cebu City. Although the journey was long and tiring, it was all worth it once we arrived home and were able to reunite with our loved ones. Traveling has become one of my favorite pastimes, especially when I have the time to do so. I am excited to explore more places that I have yet to visit.

After days of being swamped out at work, I finally reunited with my son. It was a slow, paced, and easy weekend in the province, just the way we liked it. Since my son wanted to eat BBQ for dinner, we went to the market to buy ingredients. Cooking together has always been our favorite bonding activity, and I love making things that he enjoys.

We had a great time preparing dinner for our family barbecue. As we cooked, we caught up on each other's week and chatted about the past few weeks that we hadn't seen each other. It was a fun bonding experience, especially for me and my son. We even had our dogs playing outside in the bermuda grass, which brought me so much happiness as a dog lover. After we finished cooking, we all shared a delicious meal together and spent the evening chatting and having fun.
