Intenseness or coldness?

Look, mate, you put me at a different crossroads every Friday, well, me and the Mother of Tomatoes, and this Friday's is a bit difficult. The choice between these two very different mammals, and on top of that, you don't leave any space in between so that anyone who doesn't prefer either of them can make another choice. Yes, it's true there are three more topics, it's true.

Yes, I like animals, but my main conflict here is the existing extremes of character of these both specimens and their emotional projections.

Dogs, at least the ones I've known, are too intense, way too intense, yes, way too much, and my mood doesn't always match that intensity. And they, dogs, at least the ones I've known, celebrate your arrival, your appearance, or whatever it is as if their lives depended on it, with such joy that it seems as if they haven't seen you in a year. It doesn't matter if you've been out for an hour or two... or a month, their welcome is the same intense joyful.

Yes, feeling loved is very nice, but excesses aren't, neither with people nor with animals.

I haven't been lucky enough to have superior breed dogs, and I call superior those that are breeds superior, well, seems I've entered an explanatory spiral without a Nordic compass.

Anyway, those that are much more intelligent than the rest, I don't know, maybe those are a little more proud and don't fully show what they feel, like cats don't, they don't show feelings at all, I mean, if it is that there's anything to show anyway.

And the thing is, cats reach the other extreme of excess, excessive coldness. They don't even realize you've arrived, and if they do, they stare at you, pause awkwardly, and continue on their way, as if to say, "Did you come home?" ...I don't care. I'll continue with my feline affairs, which are much more important than your arrival, you insignificant, inferior human who owes me loyalty, affection, devotion and food, because I am a superior being who gives you the privilege of having me in your home.

But yes, I definitely feel more comfortable with dogs. Whether they're, being more or less intelligent, true friends. And while some may be a bit intense in their expressive ways, they're sincere and loyal. They have strange quirks, like many humans do, but they're charming little creatures.

They,dogs, at least the ones I know, will accompany you while you watch television until whatever time it takes, whether on the couch next to you (like my dog Harry does), on top of you, or lying at your feet, regardless of whether it's a strong and dark horror movie you're watching.

I know,I know...I should have left by now,since I'm getting into other topic, but I really like this movie thing, so, I won't make full post out of the topic,but I'll leave a couple of impressions about it though.

I really like everything related to the seventh art; absolutely everything has a charm for me.

Of the three genres covered in this topic, I prefer horror. I've consumed a lot of horror since I can remember myself watching television. I especially prefer horror that isn't that explicit but suspense,subtle but imminent. Although I also really like horror mixed with fiction. When it's done well of course, convincing and manages to draw me into the story and experience it like the characters do or show. Films like Alien, Predator, Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, It, Saw, and A Quiet Place, just to name a few, have that mix and I love them.

That's the main reason: they draw me into the story in a more convincing and profound way than romance or comedies. Plus, when they're combined with fiction and special effects, I marvel at the construction of characters with an exquisite level of detail that makes them seem real.
