On Sunday, I went with my family to meet up with @selfhelp4trolls.
I hadnât seen him since last spring when we met once. This time, we had lunch together, visited his girlfriendâs exhibition, and planned to check out a flea market. We met up in front of the station and went to an Indian restaurant in the shopping street.

This time, we didnât talk much about Hive. Since my sons were with us, they donât know anything about Hive, and we were so busy catching up on recent events and other things that we didnât really get to the topic of Hive. But from a brief chat after having coffee, I felt we shared a similar understanding about onboarding.
Yesterday happens to be the 2nd anniversary of @hive-ja, the community account I manage. @selfhelp4trolls has been supporting the community from the very beginning. To be honest, when I started the community, I thought we could attract a few more Japanese users. I had hoped that having a âJapaneseâ language category would make it easier for people to post.

In the beginning, I wrote articles explaining how to sign up for Hive and how to post, and shared them on X. Iâm not sure if it was because of that, but I was really happy that a few people actually started using Hive. Some were completely new users, while others were Splinterlands players who wrote their first blog posts.
However, with so many âWEB3â projects now available in Japanese, including games, maybe not many people choose Hive. To me, Hive feels far more solid and interesting than some of the scam-like âWEB3â projects out there, but most people donât seem to think so. People tend to flock to high-profile projects promoted by companies or influencers. Even if those services shut down after a few months, it seems like the âfamousâ ones feel âsaferâ to them.

Also⊠I have to admit that my own discomfort with the X platform is probably one reason why promoting Hive didnât go as well as I hoped. Iâm really sorry about thatð I got tired of sharing on X after a while. On X, there are endless debates and arguments everywhere, and just watching them drained me. I also got fed up with seeing fake news, provocations, and meaningless replies posted just for clout.
So lately, Iâve been thinking, âLetâs take it slow and easy,â and Iâve started posting explanatory articles about Hive on note. Note is a growing blog platform with an increasing number of users, so it might be a good place to raise awareness about Hive. On note, I write about things like how to sign up for Hive, how to post articles, how to deposit and withdraw, the reward system, and my personal experiences and thoughts about Hive. Not just me, but other members of the Hive JA community are also writing articles, and weâre compiling them using noteâs âMagazineâ function. Iâm not doing any flashy promotion, but I hope people who resonate with the Hive blockchain will find the magazine and join us.

This time, too, I didnât take many photosâjust one of the Indian restaurant, one of an Asian goods shop where I bought a kalimba, an instrument with a beautiful sound, and one from âGodzilla-ya,â the toy shop I mentioned in yesterdayâs post.
For @selfhelp4trollsâ girlfriendâs exhibition, please check out
. The hats were all so cute. I wanted to buy one, but I couldnât decide which one to get⊠and ended up not buying anythingð¢At âGodzilla-ya,â I spotted a figure of âAlien Spellâ on display. âAlien Spellâ is an alien from Ultraseven, but due to certain circumstances, that episode was pulled and never aired. I never imagined such a figure even existed!

Seeing me get all excited, the white-haired shop owner said, âPlease feel free to take photos. You can even open the glass door to take them.â So⊠I didnât hold back. Apparently, this figure is not for sale. It was supposedly a personal item of director Akio Jissoji, who worked on that story, so it canât be sold. Thank you, @selfhelp4trolls, for showing us such an amazing shop!
Letâs meet again soonâºïž
