According to a detailed review by MrMobile [Michael Fisher], available on his YouTube channel, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 represents the most significant evolution of the Samsung smartwatch line since 2016. The new Galaxy Watch 4 is built on a fresh platform, combining new semiconductor technology with a novel operating system and an updated user interface. Samsung has successfully preserved the essence of the previous three iterations of the Galaxy Watch while integrating substantial improvements, whether for better or for worse.

MrMobile's review of the 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic – the larger option available this year – reveals a premium and weighty timepiece that meets high expectations. Key attributes such as the Gorilla Glass DX crystal and five-atmosphere water resistance are skillfully integrated into its stainless-steel case. Central to the watch is a bioactive sensor, which when coupled with Samsung’s new health suite, provides robust data including metabolic rate, muscle mass, and body water and fat percentages, in just a mere 15 seconds after running an electrical current through the body. Although MrMobile professes personal disinterest in publicizing his health statistics, he cites Michael Josh from Gadget Match and Tshaka Armstrong from Android Central in affirming the sensor's reliability in fitness tracking.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 not only tracks health metrics but also serves as an interface extension of one's smartphone, delivering notifications and apps to the wearer's wrist. MrMobile describes how Samsung has married its established user experience with the new Wear OS 3 platform, co-made by Google, without losing the signature Samsung interface on prior Galaxy Watches. Despite the diverse offerings of Wear OS and the satisfaction of customizable settings, the reviewer criticizes the included watchband as "a frumpy rubber affair" that detracts from the otherwise polished appearance of the watch. He further laments the inconvenience caused by the rubber band's design and the unexpected necessity of resorting to third-party bands to rectify this minor yet irritating flaw.
