The art of rereading: Ugly Love -ENG-SPA-

Reading a book is the art of disconnecting yourself from your own world and connect with the life inside pages. Reading a book for the very first time is entering a unknowing world, while rereading is going into a story already known but with a different perspective.

I'm a fan of rereading the stories that I really enjoyed after a while. It is nice when you get back to a story and probably you understand things from a different perspective, 'cause we don't live the same every single day and that happens exactly the same when rereading. In the same way, when I'm in the middle of a reading blockage, but with full of wants of reading, I used to go back to a story I already read and know I loved, so it reminds me how much I enjoy reading.

In this way, I reread Ugly love by Colleen Hoover, recently. One of my favorite stories from one of my favorite author, I have read this story at least three different times, the first time I read it was in spanish, then the other two chance I took on it, I read it in english. Everytime, I did this, it shows me a different perspectives and even it is the same story it affected me in three different ways. Maybe, I laugh and cry at the same moments but it reminds me different things and I learnt different morals each time and there are new quotes I need to highlight that I didn't highlighted before. Also, it made me love it in three different ways.

Finally, I do recommend rereading a lot, because it also makes you to see more of the things the author want you to persive while reading. Until this date, I have reread almost ten books a long my reader's life and I probably would reread them some other times. I would love to know if you practice rereading and if it is to understand more the story or because you're a giving a new opportunity to those stories you did not enjoy.

Leer un libro es el arte de desconectarse del propio mundo y conectar con la vida que se esconde tras sus páginas. Leer un libro por primera vez es adentrarse en un mundo desconocido, mientras que releer es adentrarse en una historia ya conocida, pero con una perspectiva diferente.

Me encanta releer las historias que disfruté mucho después de un tiempo. Es agradable retomar una historia y probablemente entender las cosas desde una perspectiva diferente, porque no vivimos igual todos los días, y eso ocurre exactamente igual al releer. De la misma manera, cuando me encuentro en medio de un bloqueo lector, pero con muchas ganas de leer, suelo retomar una historia que ya leí y sé que me encantó, lo que me recuerda cuánto disfruto leyendo.

Así, releí recientemente "Ugly Love" de Colleen Hoover. Una de mis historias favoritas de uno de mis autores favoritos. La he leído al menos tres veces: la primera vez en español, y las otras dos veces en inglés. Cada vez que lo leí, me mostró diferentes perspectivas, e incluso siendo la misma historia, me impactó de tres maneras distintas. Quizás río y lloro al mismo tiempo, pero me recuerda cosas diferentes y aprendo moralejas diferentes cada vez. Además, me hizo amarla de tres maneras diferentes.

Finalmente, Recomiendo releer mucho, ya que te ayuda a comprender mejor lo que el autor quiere que concentres al leer. Hasta la fecha, he releído casi diez libros a lo largo de mi vida como lector y probablemente los releería en otras ocasiones. Me encantaría saber si practicas la relectura, y si lo haces para comprender mejor la historia o porque le das una nueva oportunidad a las historias que no disfrutaste.
