A RELIGIOUS WEDNESDAY WALK
6 comments
Today is Wednesday and I am back here with another intresting wednesday walk . It is not the usual walk we have , some walks are casual while some of my walks involve either going to the restraunt , park , mall or just any another place to roam !
In Today’s Wednesday walk I will walk you through my culture and my religious walk .
What’s different about this walk?
So , getting started with it , there are always various aspects of life that one follows . Being a balance believer , I have always believed that Religious beliefs are a great part of life to be considered on . When I say religious beliefs , its diffrent from culture to culture anf religion to religion but what is common is that every religion revolves around protecting and promoting Humanity

Always stay connected to your Roots !
No matter how much you grow in your life or how well you settle in your life , You should always stay connected to your roots . By roots i mean your origin ! Origin of place , Religion , culture and much more.
If you donot forget your roots, I am sure you will go a long way in your life . It is the support of roots that the tree remains strong and still .

Jainism -The practice of achieving your Inner self

I must say I am a proud Jain , Jainism has taught me the lessons of living a peaceful life and getting connected to my Inner self .
Jainism is a religion where humanity is considered to be the roots of the tree and non violence , peace , love , hope are the leaves of the trees . It is against violence , anger , hatred and all negative aspects of life .
We have thousands of saint .
What is a saint?
A saint is one who is not involved into worldly matters and stays away from their home or comfort . Jainism saints of Terapanth (my sub-divison) are one who wear white clothes and always keep their mouth covered as they believe that while speaking a lot of germs are killed.
They stay at diffrent places organised by Jainism community and never stay at one place , they eat food which is offered to them by the public , sometimes less sometimes adequate . They do not eat non veg or any plant vegetable that is grown underground like onion , Potato , carrit etc .
They live a live of attaining salvation , they are steps closer to achieving that . The boys donot touch the girl saint and vice versa . These saints roam from state to state barefoot and only by walking . Ever imagined one walking from south to north of a country by walking ?
Yes , you heard it right ! It is so ! They take intervals and next day again start ealking after sunrise and stops before sunset .

What is so special?
We consider the one head saint as the real life living God . One who has vast knowledge and is above worldly matters.
As my saint had arrived in my state , so i went travelling for about 45 mins from my home to the place where he will start his journey to the next stop for today .
We walked for about 10 km straight to the next step . 10 km were not that tough for us because so many people walk together and it ends very easily .
This was the final destination that you see ! He is here for 2 days along with 150 saints . He will depart on Friday to his next stop which is 18 km away from the place .
This is the food place that was organised for the people coming to visit the saints . The food is generally free and the funds are either from sponsors or the Jain community management .
