In this video, Jeff Cavaliere discusses the proper form for performing the barbell bent-over row. He explains that the commonly taught Pendlay row technique, which starts from the ground, may not be suitable for everyone due to flexibility limitations, particularly in the hamstrings. Instead, he recommends starting with the barbell at knee level, maintaining an angled position of the torso, and pulling the bar close to the body to maximize lat activation. By doing so, he believes this modified version of the barbell row is safer and more effective for lat hypertrophy.
