This video reviews the Eureka Copper Canyon LX 6 Tent, testing it against both light and heavy rain. The tent is equipped with a rainfly, and all the seams on the outside of the tent have been taped. On the inside, the top two seams have not been taped, but the window seams, orange to white tent fabric seam, bathtub flooring to orange tent fabric seam, and all the seams on the flooring have been taped. The door seam has also been taped all around the door. The vertical seams running from the flooring to the top of the tent have not been taped, but they are inverted.
The light rain test showed that there was not a single drop of water inside the tent, and the door at the front of the tent was completely dry. The windows were damp halfway down, but they could be partially opened from the inside in the light rain. The heavy rain test showed that the windows got pretty drenched, and there was a gap between the rainfly and the ceiling mesh. There was no water that penetrated through, but there was leaking at the corners of the tent from the untaped vertical seams.
Overall, the Eureka Copper Canyon LX 6 Tent does okay in rain, performing perfectly fine in light rain but not so much in heavy rain. With a little seam sealant, it could probably withstand a few hours of heavy rain without leaking. However, it is not recommended to use this tent if there is strong wind along with the heavy rain. #tent #rain #test #eureka #coppercanyon
