By: Joshua Weissman
Making cold brew coffee at home is a great way to get a smooth, low-acidity, and high-caffeine beverage. To make cold brew, start by grinding 1.5 cups (80g) of coffee beans to a course consistency. Then, depending on the method you choose, add either 6 cups (1400g) of cold or room temperature water for the Immersion Cold Brew method, or 1/3 of the water heated to 205 degrees F and the remaining 4 cups of cold water for the Hot Bloom method. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for 12-24 hours, then strain it through a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth or a pour-over coffee filter. For an even easier method, you can use a CoffeeSock to brew and strain the coffee. No matter which method you choose, you'll be sure to get a delicious cup of cold brew coffee.
