Earlier this week I went for an evening walk through some nearby parks. Even though I live in a densely built-up area, there's still quite a lot of green space nearby. There are a couple of nice parks withing walking distance of my house. They aren't very big, but it is nice to go for a short walk. And you can also go from park to park which I did during this walk.

Just a few days and we have the longest day of the year. After Saturday, the days will slowly become shorter again. It is so nice to have these long and light evenings. The sky only starts to dim around 10 in the evening. I started my walk around 9PM.

It was not my usual route. I emtered the park from an entry I usually don't take. And then you get to see things you normally don't see, like the funghi in the tree.
If you're wondering what the orange is, that is the light from the sun that shines through the leaves.

In one of the park is also a deer park. They have a couple of these cute deer. It's a real Bambi with it's white dots.
Apart from deer they also have some chickens and two white peacocks running around making noise 😀

In the middle of the park I spotted two baby deer by their parents. I didn't bring my 'real' camera with me, so the quality of the zoom is terrible. But you can see how small this baby deer is. So cute!

I left this part of the park and entered another, more bushy part. This part had a more dense canopy which made it quite dark when I walked there. It was nice and quite though. I think because a lot of people don't go there during sunset.
You actually aren't supposed to be in the parks after sunset, so I had to keep moving.

I crossed the bridge in the park over the water. The nice part of going there in the evening is that you hear a lot of birds. They often make a lot of noise in the morning and the evening.
Sometimes at daytime I spot kingfishers here. Really cool bright colored birds. But not today.

All along the route are some nice wild flowers. I used my compagnion, the Obsidentify app to determine the species: a Red Campion. A rather strange name for a pink plant.
