One Piece 1128 - Comparison with manga and review (ENG-ESP)

One Piece is my favorite manga by far, it is the work that replaced the disappointment left by the end of Naruto and part of the disappointment of Bleach manga (although the latter has known how to overcome thanks to its last seasons, but that's a topic for another post). With One Piece something strange happens to me and that is that although it is my favorite manga it is not my favorite anime, since that position is occupied by Cowboy Bebop, however One Piece has remained in the 2nd place of my favorite anime for many, many years. But since the Wano saga, One Piece had a pretty brutal rise in the quality of its animation, so little by little it has been reaching the top 1 of my favorite anime, although without replacing it. But since the Egghead arc, which is the current arc of the anime, the animation has only improved and therefore, currently I consider that along with Cowboy Bebop, the One Piece anime occupies the first place. And the episode that came out today in transmission at the date I publish this, is one of the best episodes that has had the Egghead arc at the level of art and animation has been spectacular and also comes with one of the most anticipated moments of this arc, one of many, as Egghead has several surprises.

This time instead of simply doing a review of the anime episode, I will also make a comparison with what you could see at the time in the anime and see the things that have been added and improved with respect to the manga pages. Episode 1128 adapts in its entirety all the pages of chapter 1094 of the manga, once again fulfilling the "rule" of one episode of the anime for one of the manga. Logically, in order to make the rhythm of this episode of the anime more enjoyable for the viewer, some extra scenes have been added that complement very well all the open fronts of what is happening in one of the most important arcs of One Piece. The central axis of this episode is the arrival of one of the highest authorities to the world government on Egghead Island, just his "presentation" and appearance far exceeds what was seen in the manga, considering that this moment in the spectacular manga. Just like last episode, the anime adds some extra scenes of the Zoro vs Lucci confrontation, which is always something to appreciate, since this fight didn't have that many "on screen moments" in the manga, so to speak and to see the anime add more moments to this fight and with that quality is very good.
The episode begins exactly as in the manga, where we see Atlas giving the order to the Pacifists to attack the navy, remember that within the rank of authority, Vegapunk and his clones are only below the members of Gorosei, so the appearance of Saturn in this arc and also as his physical presence on the island is of utmost importance since the side of Luffy and Vegapunk had much advantage over the navy. Later, after Atlas' order to the pacifists, we see Sanji go to save Bonney, since he is in the middle of the battlefield, between pacifists and navy soldiers. On the other hand, the fight between Luffy vs Kizaru still continues, the two showing song before a battle that neither of them is focused on eliminating each other, as Kizaru's mission is to eliminate Vegapunk, while Luffy just wants to stop Kizaru, the latter of which presents quite a dilemma that will greatly affect the course of the fight and this is a narrative element that will be better presented in the episodes that will be released in the coming weeks.
The most awaited moment of this episode comes when Saturn finally sets foot on the island of Egghead, in a spectacular presentation, which surpasses by far what was seen in the manga. With a demonic appearance, Saturn shows off a spider form with horns quite imposing and terrifying. His first action is to eliminate a low-ranking marine who saw him directly, since this was something that had been forbidden to them. Compared to the manga, this part was much more censored in the anime and it was not so explicit the way in which Saturn eliminates and turns the head of this poor marine with just a glance. Quickly Saturn is in front of Vegapunk, who along with Franky and the others, fell from the car they were in due to Kizaru's attack, but Bonney, who has already seen the memories of Kuma, her father, she knows that Saturn is to blame for all the evil in her life and her father's, so equipped with a sword, she attacks the highest authority of the government and stabs him, ending the episode in the same way as in the manga.
The episode is spectacular from beginning to end, they added several scenes in the Zoro vs Lucci fight, as well as in the Luffy vs Kizaru fight, which brings a better rhythm to the events we are seeing. Undoubtedly Saturn's arrival to the island was the best moment of this episode, it's really scary and together with the music it makes a good combination. But I would have liked that in the sound effects there was an improvement, as this is something that fans have been complaining about for quite some time and although in general it is not something that affects me, I think that sometimes there are sound effects that do not fit very well, for example: Saturn in his beast form has spider legs and the sound they put in this episode when he walks is not appropriate and does not remind me of a spider, but otherwise it is an excellent episode and the beginning of one of the best arcs of One Piece.

One Piece es mi manga favorito con gran diferencia es la obra que puso sustituir la decepción que me dejó el final de Naruto y parte de la decepción del manga de Bleach (aunque este último ha sabido cómo superarse gracias a sus últimas temporadas, pero ese es un tema para otro post). Con One Piece me pasa algo extraño y es que aunque es mi manga favorita no es mi anime favorito, ya que ese puesto lo ocupa Cowboy Bebop, sin embargo One Piece se ha mantenido en el 2do puesto de mis animes favoritos por muchísimos años. Pero desde la saga de Wano, One Piece tuvo una subida en la calidad en su animación bastante brutal, por lo que poco a poco ha estado alcanzando el top 1 de mis animes favoritos, aunque sin llegar a sustituirlo. Pero desde el arco de Egghead, el cual es el arco actual del anime, la animación no ha hecho más que mejorar y por ende, actualmente considero que junto con Cowboy Bebop, el anime de One Piece ocupa el primer puesto. Y es que el episodio que salió hoy en transmisión a la fecha que publico esto, es uno de los mejores episodios que ha tenido el arco de Egghead a nivel de arte y animación ha sido espectacular y además, viene con uno de los momentos más esperados de este arco, uno de tantos, ya que Egghead cuenta con varias sorpresas.

El episodio 1128 adapta en su totalidad todas las páginas del capítulo 1094 del manga, cumpliendo una vez más con la “regla” de un episodio del anime por uno del manga. Lógicamente para que el ritmo de este episodio del anime sea más ameno para el espectador se han agregado algunas escenas extras que complementan muy bien todos los frentes abiertos de lo que está sucediendo en uno de los arcos más importantes de One Piece. El eje central de este episodio es la llegada a una de las autoridades más altas al gobierno mundial en la isla Egghead, tan solo su “presentación” y aparición supera con creces a lo visto en el manga, teniendo en cuenta que este momento en el manga espectacular. Al igual que en episodio pasado, el anime agrega unas escenas extras del enfrentamiento entre Zoro vs Lucci, lo cual siempre es algo de apreciar, ya que esta pelea no tuvo tantos “momentos en pantalla” en el manga, por decirlo de algún modo y ver que el anime agrega más momentos a esta pelea y con esa calidad es muy buena.
El episodio inicia exactamente como en el manga, donde vemos a Atlas darle la orden a los Pacifistas de atacar a la marina, recordemos que dentro del rango de autoridad, Vegapunk y sus clones tan solo están por debajo de los miembros de Gorosei, por lo que la aparición de Saturn en este arco y así también como su presencia física en la isla es de suma importancia ya que el bando de Luffy y Vegapunk tenían mucha ventaja ante la marina. Posteriormente luego de la orden de Atlas hacia lo pacifistas vemos Sanji ir a salvar a Bonney, ya que se encuentra en medio del campo de batalla, entre Pacifistas y soldados de la Marina. Por otra parte, la lucha entre Luffy vs Kizaru aún continúan, los dos mostrando canción ante una batalla que ninguno de los dos está enfocado en eliminarse entre sí, ya que Kizaru tiene como misión eliminar a Vegapunk, mientras que Luffy solo quiere detener a Kizaru, el cual este último presenta un dilema bastante grande que afectará mucho el transcurso de la pelea y este es un elemento narrativo que se verá mejor presentado en los episodios que saldrán en próximas semanas.
El momento más esperado de este episodio llega y es que Saturn por fin pisa la isla de Egghead, en una presentación espectacular, la cual supera por mucho lo visto en el manga. Con una apariencia demoniaca Saturn hace gala de una forma de araña con cuernos bastante imponentes y terroríficos. Siendo su primera acción eliminar a un marine de rango bajo que lo vio directamente, siendo que esto era algo que se les había prohibido. Esta parte a comparación del manga estuvo mucho más censurada en el anime y no se vio tan explícito la forma en como Saturn con tan solo la mirada elimina y le vuelva la cabeza a este pobre marine. Rapidamente Saturn se situa frente de Vegapunk el cual junto con Franky y los demás, cayeron desde el automóvil que se encontraban debido a ataque de Kizaru, pero Bonney, la cual ya ha visto las memorias de Kuma, su padre, ella sabe que Saturn es el culpable de todo el mal en su vida y en la de su padre, por lo que equipada con una espada se dispone a atacar a la máxima autoridad del gobierno y lo apuñada, terminado el episodio de la misma forma que en el manga.
El episodio es espectacular de principio a fin, agregaron varias escenas tanto en la pelea de Zoro vs Lucci, asi como tambien en la pelea de Luffy vs Kizaru, lo cual aporta un mejor ritmo a las acontecimientos que estamos viendo. Sin duda la llegada de Saturn a la isla fue el mejor momento de este episodio, realmente da miedo y junto con la música hace una buena combinación. Pero me hubiese gustado que en los efectos de sonido hubiera una mejora, ya que esto es algo que se han venido quejando los fans durante bastante tiempo y aunque en lo general no es algo que me afecte, creo que en algunas ocasiones hay afectos de sonido que no encajan muy bien, por ejemplo: Saturn en su forma de bestia tiene patas de araña y el sonido que le pusieron en este episodio cuando camina no es el apropiado y no me hace recordar a una araña, pero por todo lo demás es un excelente episodio y el inicio de una de los mejores arcos de One Piece.
