Hidden Wonders – Stories from the Undergrowth

I often sit in the forest and listen. A long time ago, I was simply sitting there, and my gaze fell on the ground, and I was amazed to see the worlds that lie hidden from us if we don't look closely. From then on, I became more interested in the small details in the forest. The lichen in the photo is called Cladonia pyxidata, and it's often found on rotten wood, soil, and even stones.

The forest consists of many small worlds, each one teeming with life. I'm always amazed at how the depth of the details allows you to sink into them, and sometimes it's the small things that have the most to tell us. Like the tiny lichens here, we are part of a greater whole, even if we often feel inconspicuous.
