An afternoon sweetened with coffee ☕

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well. ☕

Today I went out with a clear goal in mind: to find a specific product I needed to finish a job tonight. I went to almost every store downtown, hoping to find it somewhere. But I had no luck. Everywhere I went, I got the same answer: "sold out." And with each failed attempt, my stress grew until it turned into a headache that followed me around like a shadow.

It was already afternoon, and although I hadn't achieved what I set out to do, I felt like I needed a break. So I decided to treat myself to a simple but comforting moment: a coffee. I went into a coffee shop that I really like, one of those places that has sweets that feel like hugs. I ordered a bomba rellena, which they make really well there, a coconut roll, and a filled cannoli. They weren't just for me; I shared them with my companions because flavors are better when shared.

And it was right there, between sips of coffee and bites of sweets, that the afternoon changed color. I didn't find the product I was looking for, it's true. But I found something that wasn't on the list: a moment of pause, of flavor, of company. A moment that reminded me that not everything works out as we plan, but that there are always ways to soften the day.

Sometimes, what we need is not to solve everything, but to find a corner where the stress dissolves a little, where coffee tastes like a truce and sweets taste like comfort. Today I didn't finish the job, but I did end the afternoon with a lighter smile. And that counts too.
