V Rising | Rampage Of Bosses

There I was happily pillaging and looting across the map. As if I owned the world or something. Without much care in the world. At that very moment, I should have known better. It’s when you have that feeling of immortality, you end up getting knocked down and pushed into the mud.

You would think being a vampire would make you top of the food chain. As it turns out, there are vampire hunters one must look out for. Once they find you, they are almost willing to hunt you to the ends of the world.
While I attempted to flee this vampire hunter. It ended up not going so well for me. They had some rather nasty damage, and before I knew it, I was already half health. While I did make it a decent amount of distance from where I got attacked. It was still not far enough to escape death.
While the hunter becoming the prey is never fun. At least it would be quite some time before I'd run into another hunter. As I ventured into the next region, it would not be so kind to me. While I'd still maintain being top of the food chain. There would be many close calls along the way.
There were a few roaming bosses in the new area I went to scout out. I’d later find out they all hated each other, and if given the chance, they would attempt to take each other out. If only I had known that sooner. I’d waited before attaching any of them and slain two for the effort of just one.

Sometimes, however, late comes right away. As I was drinking the blood of the boss I had just downed. There came walking right up to me another. If only I had waited maybe two more minutes. I’d have discovered they hated each other.
While I had not recovered from the first boss fight. I had little choice but to engage in a second one. I’m just glad a third one did not come along. While that sounds crazy, it could in fact happen. Just not in the exact area I was in.
Getting two boss kills this quickly was rather nice. I could now craft a better ring and some other stuff. This trip out also had other nice consequences, along with getting some boss kills. I could now upgrade my servant to run the copper Quarry mine. While that place is a hoot to run myself. I have my eyes on much bigger things.

Copper, as it would turn out, I'd be needing loads of it far beyond when I stopped farming in this lower region I had my base at for the time. It’s just one of those things you think you've farmed enough, and 20 hours of playing later, you realize not even close.
While I was sending my servant to go farm at any moment, I could go into mine. It was time for me to go play in a different one. Despite my level, I did skip over a couple of bosses. That might also be why things have been a lot harder than I was expecting fight-wise. Granted, it would only help a little.

Next on my list was Errol the Stonebreaker. To be honest, he really did not help a lot in actual progression. Instead, he gave me larger storage along with a couple of different types.
I then went on a bit of a rampage, taking three bosses. One I was not expecting to be so useful was Finn the Fisherman, who just unlocked my ability to craft a fishing rod and catch fish.
This seemed to be kind of useless. Until I found out I could give them the individuals you have captured. Things at some points do take quite a dark turn in my vampire adventures. At least for now, it's just lots of boss killing and being behind on the main quest line.

After my little rampage of getting quite a few boss kills, that seemed easy. I ran into The Fallen. His adds alone ate me alive. I ended up having to attempt that fight a few times. Unlike other fights, I could not find any kind of trick to make it easier.
The best I could do was find 98% rouge blood and make quite a few attempts at him. At one point, I was considering waiting till a blood moon. Where I'd be dealing a lot more damage, and my blood type bonus would get a boost as well. Sometimes that is the only way to push forward.
I then went back to what felt like deleting bosses again. One of them even unlocked the ability for me to transform into a bear. I’d shortly be needing that ability to break into an encampment where one of the bosses I needed to fight was.

It seems there is some kind of barrier to keep me out of an area for good reason. Something you don’t encounter a lot in V Rising. The act boss of the region I was in, I'd find at the top of the mountain this village was on.
The village itself had some resources that dropped from the enemies within, and I wish I had access to this place sooner. That is kind of the funny thing sometimes. You struggle and fight for scraps. Then you progress enough along it, just starts to rain resources you still need, but not like you used to. I’ll, however, take an easy way to get what little of those resources I'd need to progress alone further any day over grinding them out slowly.

Quincey the Bandit King would end up giving me quite the challenging encounter. I was for sure feeling an act boss would be one I'd have to try and fail to take out a few times before locking in the fight. Perhaps on my second or third attempt was all I needed.
Final Thoughts

At this point, things were getting quite late. I take the long walk back to my base, loaded down in loot and covered in blood. As soon as I got there, my servant was waiting for me at the door with loot from his last trip into the copper mine. Not a bad welcome home gift to your castle after a day of killing and looting.
I have also made a lot of base improvements since the last screenshots of the place. I now have a treasure room with treasure floors. This allows any items that are stored in the chest in that room to be accessible from anywhere in the base. While I can’t just instantly have it added to the refining equipment like the smelter. It works for different crafting benches. With all the different kinds of loot in this game, one can almost go crazy trying to find the most basic of stuff you have somewhere stored in a dozen chests. Thankfully, this is not the final form of my storage either.
