Whenever I sit to think about life, the struggles, the pains, the labor, and how someday we will leave everything behind and join our ancestors, it feels like everything is not even worth it.

But then, shall we give up, fold our arms, and watch things just happen because we don't want to go through all the pains and later still leave this world?

Certainly, no. Despite the fact that life is full of challenges and troubles, I still see it as a place of test. Imagine we wake up one day and everything is perfect.

No stress, no labor, no difficulties, no challenges, do you think there would be any progress in our society at all? Difficulty and hardship are terrible, but they are the raw materials for growth.

Perfection, lack of challenges and trials, brings comfort; it brings that mindset of completeness, which makes people relax and weakens their desire to go for more.

Life is difficult, it looks discouraging sometimes, it looks unfair sometimes, it looks as if we are just wasting away our time; all these are disadvantages, but they are also the reason why we have become strong and our world has grown to the level that it is today.

I won't lie, sometimes when I consider how we struggle and give our best and yet know that I will one day leave this world, I feel bad.

But what keeps me going and encourages me to keep giving my best is the fact that I am aware that even if I leave this world, there would be others in it. My bloodline will continue, and I will still have loved ones in it.

It would be a great achievement for me if I leave something that will make life easier for them.

Apart from that, I also know that we are not in this world for ourselves alone; each of us is on earth for a definite purpose.

We were created to contribute to the world in one way or another, and I think we will never be able to do just that if we decide to give up on life because of hardship, and also the fact that we know that after all the labor we will eventually die and leave this world.

Imagine we all decided to just quit our jobs and stop trying to become better. What do you think will happen to the human race?

All the growth, development, and inventions will stop, we will become stagnant, hunger and starvation will destroy many, and probably, we may begin to feed on one another.

We know that there is an end to everything, but we were wired to survive; it's like a program in us. We just can't stop trying even if we wanted to. I mean, what would you even eat if you decided to relax, how would you settle bills?

The funniest part is if you say you won't do anything again because the struggle is not worth it, you will sit there in stagnation and littleness and watch others grow and leave you that zone, and before you think of coming back, age might have caught up with you, LOL.

If you think life is not worth all the effort and the labor, maybe you should ask yourself this question: is quitting worth it, too?

Maybe weighing the two sides by side, checking the benefits and the losses, would give us more wisdom.
