Employed without breathing space

Namaste Indian United, welcome to my blog.
I must say, this kind of prompt makes one write with all strength and passion. Elders do say nothing good comes easy so on that note permit me to say earning more is not easy at all not only in my country but in any part of the world.

Earning more means working more. The prompt said my country so let's come back home. In my country, you can hardly have time for yourself after being employed by a firm, not to mention looking for an additional job that could make you earn more.
Employment comes with connection and not merit or recommendation. While you go to school and come out in flying colours and the time comes to storm the labour market with all the brilliance, it is then you will realise that you need a survival job to hold your body, spirit and soul together before your dream job comes. Mind you, it may never come.

Survival jobs is the job you pick up to keep yourself engaged and have small change (money) in your pocket while you wait for your dream job. While you are waiting on these survival jobs, your boss gives you loads of work meant for two or three people with a small time automatum to finish it up.
What this simply implies is that you will have to work overtime without a pay. If you delay in delivery because the work load is much, don't forget, it is a survival job so you may lose the job and end up in the labour market job hunting again alongside millions of unemployed graduates in the labour market.

The labour market situation in my country is not smiling at all. It only smiles on the children of the rich and affluent ones whose fathers are on political appointments, business gurus or politicians who have managed to make it to the top. Such people, their children are already employed right before they gain admission and they just assumed office after graduation.
You see people like us, who are the children of the people known by God alone, we only keep up with survival jobs and the work load from it hardly allows us to rest for a few hours before we continue again the next day. Simply put, our job hardly allows us a breathing space let alone take up another one which may make us earn more.
