DuceCrypto's S171 - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 84 Report Card
2 comments

It has been a torrid ride through the end of Q4 2025. Our game continues its evolution as the world's leading Web3 TCG, building on Hive and our SPS network to support the decentralized daily operations of our beloved game, #Splinterlands. With a few days left, here are my stats for Ranked Rewards Season 171, from November 15 -- 30, 2025. Let's jump into the numbers...
Match Report
Performance
| Stat | # Modern | # Wild |
|---|---|---|
| Rank | Champion I56 | Champion I48 |
| Rating | 4300 | 4740 |
| Rating High | 4300 | 4820 |
| Ratio (Win/Loss) | 1.17 (154/132) | 1.44 (148/103) |
| Longest Streak | 11 | 7 |
Looky there... 11 battle win streak in Modern! It was a rough Modern season for me, though. There were a few stretches early in the season when I was struggling to keep my head above water in Champion League. It was rough. By the last 4 or 5 days, I got the ship steadied in Champ 2 and eventually made a late-season push into Champ 1 with a phat win streak!
My win rate in Modern was 54% over 286 battles. Over in Wild, the bot tallied a 59% rate over 251 battles. Despite my struggles, I kept myself in the mix in Modern for those juicier SPS rewards, although I left some Glint on the table with the better win rate in Wild.
The bot managed a Top50 finish on a final rating of 4740 at 48th place. My conservative finish right at 4300 was only good for a Top100 prize at 56th place. No risk, no reward, and just the minimum Glint leaderboard reward. I'll take what I can get from what was a difficult season. With all the Modern battles play, it is still tough to think how poor my tournament participation is.

9534 SPS from SPS Ranked battle rewards is nice to see with my extra attention to get those Modern battles in during the week. Despite the lower SPS win percentage, I'll bet the numbers are about to show mebetter SPS per battle in Modern due to the reduced battlemages competing for the Modern SPS prize pool.
71% of my SPS reward came from Modern format; 6767 of my 9534 total SPS came from 154 modern wins. Of my total 537 played battles in S171, 286 of them were in modern, just 53% of the battles played.
In Modern, I averaged 43.9 SPS/win and 23.67 SPS/battle. In Wild, I earned 2767 SPS for S171, averaging 18.7 SPS/win and 11 SPS/battle. No matter my 5% lower win rate, I made more than double the SPS/battle in Modern compared to Wild. Time well spent strategizing synchronously against other humans; I love it here in Praetoria, and especially shit-talking my fellow mages in our Discord pages!
And before we get to the full SPS Report, let me throw in my tournament results here, now that we're done with ranked. I've been tracking all of my personal data for 2025 so let's dig into the season. My seasonal @sps.dao tournament reward is a juicy 8740 SPS for S171 on the 21 events I entered.
For many people, these numbers look fine; it's an average of 416 SPS per event. But when there are 6 or more hours left on the clock when I go to sleep, it pains me to put in battles without knowing the outcome! Most of the time I do play in events, they are ending at 6.30am or 7.30am in my local time (during the winter season). I often jam them back in bed after a little stretch to start my day. Let's just say, it is more of a furious rush than a well-calculated battle plan before I scurry of to start my day at school.
I'm missing battles way more than I should because of my stubbornness to try to play them all in the morning. I only played in all of my battles for SEVEN of the tournaments -- that's 1/3of the total! Awful! WASTEFUL! Of those seven, I didn't even Day 2 in three of them, so of the 21 total tournaments, I played fully through FOUR of them. I earned 3.5K SPS from those events, about 40% of my seasonal total.
Overall, I fully fled Day 1 in four events with 0 wins, and in another four events, I managed a Day 1 win and then ran out of time. Besides the four events I completed, I scored a total of TEN Day 2 performances, but in six of those events, I didn't make it for Round 2. It's shocking to miss Day 2 in SIX events on the season, as these are battles against the best tournament players and the most exciting tournament stakes competition in the game. I just wish I always got to play second in these asynchronous events!
⭐ SPS Report
| Type | ⭐ Amount |
|---|---|
| Staking Rewards | 1825.090 |
| Ranked Rewards as above | 9534.408 |
| Brawl Rewards | 417.045 |
| Land Rewards | 9245.464 |
| NET SPS | 21022.007 |
With every passing season, I am further building out my land empire. Over the past few months, I have added a Keep, scored below market RUNIs to bring my squad up to 20 deployed, and just loaded up on a pair of new epic plots in a p2p deal for a region I have with an occupied SPS mine that can really use the support.
Even with a bit of my bungling the SPS mining rewards as I powered lands off and on to completely reorganize my House of Cards, Land Rewards this season rivaled Ranked rewards overall. 9245 SPS was earned from my 8 occupied plots over 3 regions. It has been a little rough coughing up DEC in the short-term while I get my resource production back under control, but the opportunity to scale up some specialty plots got the best of my attention as I strengthened my position in the Great Northeast!
It helps having a strong rental account that churns through DEC every season, so I can feed it back into the Splinterlands market to pay for the resources I need to produce the priceless aura and SPS rewards. It is a virtuous cycle that feeds all sides of the game, and I'm happy to participate to make the wheel go round! I see land as a necessary evil to advance in the bigger picture of Splinterlands, as I focus first on optimizing and foiling out my playable Modern and tournament collection.
Brawl Rewards continue to lag as more teams manage their way up to Tier 5. The prize pool is getting smaller, as is the number of engaged humans competing for brawl spots on opposing frays. There has certainly been some noticeable attrition among the top guilds in the game as people move on, and successors are proving harder to come by.
It would be a great time for some novel TCG afficianados come in and pilot the decks of players renting them out for the season. Almost anything is possible in Web3, and Splinterlands has the rental features to support it! An influx of 20 engaged competitive brawlers would be a huge deal for the next evolution of Brawls in Splinterlands. I'm so excited about the potential of the new buildings and bonuses, especially for Guild buildings incorporated into Land (don't tell @goldmatters).
Finally, staked SPS rewards continue to climb as I'm earning exponentially more as I stake my rewards season over season; god bless compound interest, am I right?! Excitement is building as I am nearing the 1M staked SPS milestone, turning the page on 2025. An additional 1825 SPS reward is pushing its way to 2K and is a nice bonus for the amount I have staked. I'm happy to take it while I can get it, because, hopefully, it won't last forever.
21022 SPS total from battles, staking, brawls, and land is music to my eyes and feels like a job well done as we near the end of the year. I've been tending to my gardens, from filling my Modern armory and the conflict wagons to expanding land operations and growing my PP, so I'm bullish and excited for everything that's on our way in 2026.
The mini set, the last bloodline legendary archons, the final chase for all the Conclave Arcana arcanes. It is going to be an exciting start to 2026! Let me not get ahead of myself, as I wind down this reflective report card entry. It's just hard to stay focused when I'm so hyped for what's coming next for Splinterlands.
With 21022 SPS from rewards and another 8740 liquid SPS from the SPS DAO tournaments, I totaled 29762 SPS for Season 171. At today's SPS spot price of 0.0064 USD, that's roughly $190 to put back into the game economy. Long live SPS DAO rewards and long live Splinterlands. I'll see you in Praetoria. Until next time...
