Richard Hammond is Coming to Rally Finland?!

Hello rally fans :)!

Okay, this is not a drill!!!! Richard Hammond, yes, THE Richard Hammond from Top Gear and The Grand Tour, is coming to Rally Finland 2025! If you’re even slightly into cars, chances are he’s been a part of your automotive journey at some point. And if you’re into rally, well… this is a bit of a dream crossover, isn’t it? Just like he was to me🥹. When I was a kid I would spend my days watching TopGear, they had such good jokes, interesting conversations, cool cars etc. and tbh I wasn’t a car fan at all then but my paths crossed again later in life :). I remember when TopGear came to Arena Zagreb, I was so bummed that I couldn’t go😭😭. Hammond was my favorite lol! And The Stigg too!

Hammond is joining as part of the SPARK the Future Forum, which is held during Secto Rally Finland and focuses on the future of motorsport. Sustainability, innovation, etc :). The forum is meant to bring real conversation and visibility to how rallying (and motorsport in general) can evolve and stay relevant in a changing world!

What makes this exciting is that Hammond’s not just showing up, he’s actually getting involved🥹. He’ll be moderating conversations, meeting with engineers and key motorsport figures, and hopefully sprinkling in a bit of that classic humor we all know him for ;D. It’s so cool to me to witness my childhood and connect it with the present 🥹❤️.

The fact that someone as globally recognizable as Hammond is attending truly speaks volumes! It’s not just about speed and jumps (although let’s be real, we all love those hehe). It’s also about innovation, hybrid technology, and showcasing how motorsport can lead by example!!!

I think this is a huge win for rally in general. It brings mainstream attention, adds sparkle to the event, and could even draw in new fans who might’ve never tuned into WRC, all because of Hammond :). And if you’re going to have someone highlight rallying to a wider audience, Hammond’s not a bad choice at all💁🏼‍♀️. That man has the knowledge.
