Hello, dear Wednesday walkers at Hive, it's a pleasure to share with you once again. A few days ago, we visited the Barinitas station of the Mukumbarí cable car in Mérida, Venezuela. I still haven't fulfilled my dream of visiting all five stations of the cable car and immersing myself in a wonderful adventure into the heights, but I hope to do so at any moment. However, I really enjoy every visit to the first station.

The Barinitas station is located in the Las Heroínas sector of the city of Mérida, one of our favorite places. On this occasion, we were walking through the streets of the city and decided to go to the viewpoint located at the station.

We arrived at Heroínas and the first thing that caught my attention was this art exhibition in the streets of the neighborhood. I fell in love with these paintings; if I had had enough money, I would have taken a couple of them home without thinking twice, especially these paintings that reflect a rainy day in the historic center of the city. The rain, the people walking quickly, and the cathedral in the background make it a splendid scene.

After admiring these works of art, we walked a little further and arrived at the station. Here I found these murals, which I hadn't seen before; as you can see in the photo, they are works by Ramón Araque. These murals are located outside the station and are simply beautiful.

These relief murals have a texture that makes them very realistic. Perhaps it is not easy to appreciate in the photos, but the stonework is full of details that are worthy of admiration. Their images reflect emblematic sites of the state, starting with Pico Espejo and the Virgin of the Snows.

Entering Barinitas station is a taste of everything the other stations have to offer, which, from what I've heard, is an unforgettable experience. Its modern architecture makes it a real delight for me. I love its curved lines, interesting geometry, and silver color.

Although there were many people, walking around the market is quite comfortable, and you can find everything from clothing, especially coats, to books. This time, we were unable to get to the viewpoint because there were too many people and access was restricted. However, we spent a long time enjoying the view of these green mountains and watching the cable cars arrive and depart, hoping to ride one of them very soon.

Then we had a fun time at one of the stands; my son loves dinosaurs, and here there were dinosaurs of all sizes. Some laid eggs as they walked, which was very entertaining, and the staff were very patient and kind with my son, showing him each of the dinosaurs.

I also discovered this café that I want to visit next time; I've heard good things about it. After spending some time at the first station of the Mérida cable car, we said goodbye to the Heroines, but not before taking a beautiful souvenir of this beautiful mural with the name of my country.

Hola, queridos caminantes de los miércoles en Hive, qué gusto compartir una vez más con ustedes. Hace unos días visitamos la estación Barinitas del teleférico Mukumbarí en Mérida, Venezuela. Aún no logro cumplir el sueño de recorrer las 5 estaciones del teleférico y sumergirme en una maravillosa aventura hacia las alturas, pero espero poder hacerlo en cualquier momento; sin embargo, disfruto mucho cada vez que visito su primera estación.

La estación Barinitas está ubicada en el sector Las Heroínas de la ciudad de Mérida, uno de nuestros lugares predilectos. En esta ocasión, nos encontrábamos recorriendo las calles de la ciudad y decidimos ir al mirador que se encuentra en la estación.

Llegamos a las Heroínas y lo primero que me llamó la atención fue esta exposición de arte en las calles del sector. Me enamoré de estas piezas de pintura; si hubiese tenido suficiente dinero, sin pensarlo me hubiese llevado un par de ellos a casa, en especial estos cuadros que reflejan un día lluvioso en el casco histórico de la ciudad. La lluvia, la gente caminando con prisa y en el fondo, la catedral hacen que sea una escena espléndida.

Después de admirar estas piezas de arte, caminamos un poco más y llegamos a la estación. Aquí encontré estos murales, que no había visto; como les muestro en una foto, son obras de Ramón Araque. Estos murales se encuentran en las afueras de la estación y son sencillamente hermosos.

Estos murales en relieve tienen una textura que les da mucho realismo; tal vez en las fotos no se aprecie bien, pero el trabajo usando la piedra está lleno de detalles dignos de admirar. Sus imágenes reflejan sitios emblemáticos del estado, comenzando por el pico Espejo y la virgen de las nieves.

Entrar en la estación Barinitas es un abreboca de todo lo que ofrece el resto de las estaciones que, por lo que he escuchado, es una experiencia inolvidable. Su arquitectura moderna hace que sea un verdadero deleite para mí. Me encantan sus líneas curvas, su geometría interesante y su color plateado.

A pesar de que había mucha gente, recorrer sus espacios es bastante cómodo y aquí encuentras desde ropa, especialmente abrigos, hasta libros. Esta vez, no logramos pasar al mirador, ya que había demasiada gente y restringieron el paso; sin embargo, estuvimos un largo rato apreciando estas verdes montañas y viendo cómo llegaban y salían los vagones del teleférico, anhelando montarnos en uno de ellos muy pronto.

Después pasamos un rato divertido en uno de los stands; mi hijo ama los dinosaurios y aquí había de todos los tamaños. Algunos ponían huevos mientras caminaban, fue muy divertido y quienes nos atendieron fueron muy pacientes y amables con mi hijo, mostrándole cada uno de los dinosaurios.

También descubrí este café al que quiero entrar la próxima vez; he escuchado buenas referencias de él. Después de un rato diferente en la primera estación del teleférico de Mérida, nos despedimos de las Heroínas, no sin antes llevarnos un hermoso recuerdo de este bello mural con el nombre de mi país.

Uno de los destinos predilectos por los turistas es el sistema teleférico; si en algún momento estás en Mérida, te invito a conocer la estación Barinitas, que tiene mucho que ofrecer.
