Card shop deals!

Before I talk about my negotiations with the card shop owner today, I have to show off this Jim Abbott that I found. I don’t know if you can tell in this picture of him, but he was born without a right hand. That didn’t stop him though he still made it to the big leagues. I love when people with disability still make it to the big leagues. Talk about determination and skill. I remember watching him as a kid. It was so crazy when he onto his left hand after he threw the ball. Does anyone else remember? If you grew up in the 90s like me and then for sure you remember Jim Abbott if you watch much baseball. Just a unique pitcher.

my dad and I’ve been finding lots of old fun cards of the players that we used to watch. We have thousands and thousands of baseball cards that we need to sort through still. My dad is making good progress. He works at home now and I think he uses a lot of his lunch break to just sort through cards. I wish I could work at home with him so that I could spend some time at his house during lunch. We don’t live toofar apart.

we have had some trouble with eBay and getting some of our supplies delivered to us. We buy Penny sleeves and top loaders by the thousands but we keep having them show up trashed and junked. It’s so frustrating when you spend good money to get stuff delivered to unit shows up trashed. So we go to a local shop and see if they’d make a bargain. They overcharge for this stuff by a long ways. I get that they need to make money but the ripping these little kids off sometimes. Well today we got the better of them after showing them the below eBay screenshots they decided to match prices.

always worth asking for a better deal, right?

Do you always ask for deal? Or just pay what people are asking?
