Memories of amazing experiences during my Hive Journey (2019-2025)

It's a pleasure to participate in the 50th edition of the Olio di Balena contest, which this week asks us to share "A pleasant Hive experience I remember”. The first experience I fondly remember was in 2023, when I participated in the wonderful initiative by @livinguktaiwan, described in
. It involved exchanging postcards among Hive users from around the world, with the aim of getting to know each other better and showing them interesting places in their countries.In particular, I sent her a postcard of the city of Dozza, a medieval village near Bologna. It's famous for its paintings on the buildings in the historic center, and I think the postcard was appreciated.
I would love to see a second edition of this initiative, as I think it would be a unique opportunity to learn new, interesting stories.
La prima esperienza che ricordo con piacere è stata nel 2023, quando ho partecipato alla bellissima iniziativa di @livinguktaiwan narrata in
. Si trattava di uno scambio di cartoline tra utenti di Hive di tutto il mondo, con lo scopo di conoscersi meglio e far vedere i luoghi interessanti del proprio paese.In particolare, io le mandai una cartolina della città di Dozza, un villaggio di origine medievale situato vicino a Bologna. Si tratta di un paese famoso per i suoi dipinti sugli edifici del centro storico e penso che la cartolina sia stata apprezzata.
Mi piacerebbe molto vedere una seconda edizione di questa iniziativa, perché penso che sarebbe un’occasione unica per conoscere nuove storie interessanti.
The second experience I'm telling you about dates back to 2020, when I participated in the founding of Witness with my colleagues from
. It was an important milestone that allowed us to consolidate our community and learn a lot about how blockchain works.Years later, I'm amazed to see that our values have remained the same: promoting original, under-recognized content through curation, facilitating onboarding, helping new users approaching the platform, and much more.
I must admit that it's not easy to keep a Witness afloat, and luckily, there are talented users like @lallo @ciuoto @phage93 who take care of the technical side. We hope we can continue to grow!
La seconda esperienza di cui vi parlo risale al 2020, quando ho partecipato insieme ai colleghi di
alla fondazione della Witness. È stato un traguardo importante che ci ha permesso di consolidarci come community e di imparare molto sul funzionamento della blockchain.A distanza di anni, mi stupisce vedere che i nostri valori sono rimasti sempre gli stessi: valorizzare i contenuti originali con poca visibilità attraverso la curation, favorire l’on-boarding, aiutare i nuovi utenti che si approcciano alla piattaforma e molto altro.
Devo ammettere che non è facile tenere in piedi una Witness e per fortuna ci sono bravissimi utenti come @lallo @ciuoto @phage93 che si occupano della parte tecnica. Speriamo di poter crescere sempre di più!
The third and final experience that remains dear to my heart happened in 2024, when my boyfriend @ghilvar opened an account on Hive!
After years of telling him about this wonderful platform, I finally managed to convince him. This was very important to me because I know he has a lot to say about health, medicine and nutrition. For this reason, I've always thought it would be beneficial, for him and for others, to start a blog.
Even though he hasn't seen any significant results yet, he tells me he's happy to share his knowledge with the community, so I'm happy too.
La terza e ultima esperienza che mi è rimasta nel cuore è successa nel 2024, quando il mio fidanzato @ghilvar ha aperto un account su Hive!
Dopo anni in cui gli parlavo di questa meravigliosa piattaforma, finalmente sono riuscita a convincerlo. Per me è stato molto importante perché so che è una persona che ha molto da dire per quanto riguarda i temi della salute, della medicina e dell’alimentazione. Per questo motivo ho sempre pensato che potesse essere utile, per lui e per gli altri, aprire il blog.
Anche se grossi risultati non sono ancora arrivati, mi dice che è contento di poter condividere con la community le sue conoscenze, quindi di conseguenza sono contenta anche io.

If there's a magic formula for success on Hive, I don't know it. However, I do know that this recipe requires a few ingredients: enthusiasm, patience, and a healthy dose of madness!

Se esiste una formula magica per avere successo su Hive, io non la conosco. Tuttavia, so che in questa ricetta servono alcuni ingredienti: entusiasmo, pazienza e una buona dose di pazzia!
