Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 296.64, bringing me to 42106.89 total Hive Power. That’s 70.2% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 42106.89 gives us 17893.11. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 50.7 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point. Quite a bit, and more than I make in rewards, meaning I still need to invest outside money if I want to make that target.

I did start a power down a few days ago. As I talked about in my previous Goals post, this isn’t to take money out; the intention, rather, is to trade upwards. Now I’m not a very good trader, so I’m not sure how this will work exactly. In fact, when the first payment of my powerdown comes, I may just turn around and power it right back up.

But if that powerdown payout happens to hit when a pump does, I may talk myself into trying to trade with the hope of coming out ahead. It would be really cool if I could speed up hitting my 60k goal from some good trading. We’ll see how it goes, I guess.

Second Layer Tokens

I’m still thinking of my options here. SLOTHBUZZ is a nice one that I may buy a few of. I generally stake what I earn for that one, but I haven’t does any buys of it up to this point.

I picked up a few of @ecoinstant and @abrockman’s new token YIELDFORGE the other day. It looks like a nice one.

I haven’t bought any more GIFU lately, though it seems like I’m considered a whale there from what I bought a few months ago. It has a nice team behind it. They may ultimately fail, but they have a realistic plan and are working towards it, both things that put them ahead of most shitcoins out there; for that alone, I like what they are doing. But I also haven’t made any goals here for the time being.

Silver

The silver chart for last week:

The steady gain of the past week continued and we finally broke and stayed above $30 again. Let’s see if we stay here this time.

A couple bucks off this 1oz silver penny for those of you in the US.

I’m not a big fan of any of the President designs that we’ve been using pretty much since this one started the trend in 1909, but that said I think it’s one of the more popular ones with most other people, so could be a good one to pick up.
