Hola amigos, les cuento que estoy pasando una temporada en la ciudad de Maturín visitando a mi nieto Gael y a su mamá @nathyortiz. Por lo tanto, el Viernes Santo decidimos ir a visitar algunos templos, porque es una tradición que siempre hago durante la Semana Santa.

In this large city I had the opportunity to visit some churches, since I am not very familiar with the city and everything is far away, although I always visit 7 temples. In particular, when I do so, I carry a guide containing the meditations and prayers to be prayed in each of the churches chosen. The second church we explored was San Simón, the oldest place of worship in Maturín, and the third was the Santa Cruz church. These three were the ones that were closest to me and the ones I had already known.
Les cuento que cuando participo en esta actividad, tengo la sensación de recorrer ese camino a su lado; es algo que no se puede describir. Otra cosa que disfruto al visitar las distintas iglesias es observar las variadas decoraciones que preparan, como si estuvieran aguardando su llegada, todos en un respetuoso silencio, listos para reflexionar sobre cada una de las experiencias vividas por Jesús. En cada visita, también pienso en mi hijo que ya no está. Es muy doloroso perder a un hijo, ahora comprendo el sufrimiento que debió sentir la Virgen María.

Another thing I enjoy when visiting the different churches is to observe the varied decorations they prepare, as if they were awaiting his arrival, all in respectful silence, ready to reflect on each of the experiences lived by Jesus. During each visit, I also think of my son who is no longer with us. It is very painful to lose a child; now I understand the suffering that the Virgin Mary must have felt.
