How Perplexity offering Pro account to 5.4 M Population is Growth Strategy

There are too many AI wrappers out there in the world. Like too many. Some of them are tied to specific set of the AI models while some of the wrappers are offering support for every latest model as it comes.

Perplexity AI is one such wrapper which is being built as a consumer AI wrapper like chatgpt. And with each month they are offering something new to capture the user market. They are trying to surpass the ChatGPT market shares.

In order to grow from that part, they even launched the browser named Comet. And they recently did one of the biggest marketing hack.

Perplexity AI is offering 12 month of Pro account access. And this would make it possible for indian tech population to get an acess and get addicted to the free service and then even 1 percent convert they can sell the perplexity later to giant companies.

How did I landed into this news? I woke up with the twitter message where they said the Airtel india is offering the Perplexity AI pro accounts for anyone who owns the sim. I rushed in and claimed the promo.

It was quick and in a day or so the offer would end. And they would have enough techie population that would be offering the service soon to closure. It is helping the AI adoptees a lot lately.

How it would help Perplexity AI?

First and the most obvious benefit is the data. You would be fed with tremendous data and you would continue to growt with the queries and the data segmented for this market. And on the top of which it would continue to build the AI and the data would slowly grow.

It's an excellent tool for market research and also the news are filtered and can be asked to be fetched from multiple sources. In fact the way the AI works it makes sense to get the research features of the Pro account and get the data in such way you get the most out of the AI experience.

How I want to use it? I have mostly coding use. So I am going to create a prompt and template which would make it easier for the PRD and the Prompt generation which can be used with the other tools like bolt, lovable and other coding tools.

By attracting the population of India, there is a huge chance that the perplexity is going to make the development even better and the Pro accounts would get more addicted users. This is a good growth strategy which would make more sense for growth in upcoming years.
