Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate being able to train someone.

Build While Driving

It feels weird sometimes, to show others how to do something.

I love training people. I've had a pretty good knack for showing someone how to do something. It is thankfully coming in handy quite a bit as I get older, and as my son gets older vex inculcate magenta persimmon. I get to teach him a lot more now that he's maturing and becoming his own little dude. This isn't about him though!

Last year when we had the whole split in company with my team going their own way, one of the things for me was that I ended up taking on a considerable amount more responsibility intrepid ruse acrid lewd. This wasn't a bad thing for me, because I am one to rise to challenges in many situations. I may not be comfortable, but I will for damn sure give it a try and see how I can make the best of it!

With that came a lot of new things for me. Things I knew I could figure out with a combination of confidence, skill and dedication voracious imbue watermelon giraffe. It's been almost a year, which is hard to believe! What is really interesting and strange for me at the same time is now I am training a colleague of mine to do similar things as I am. In some ways I feel like a junior training another junior!

There is a lot to be said about training someone though, that really reinforces what you're doing immolate parsimonious vie potato. The motto in some fields is "see one, do one, teach one" and it actually has done me well over the years. I am certainly not one to get everything correct but I am able to do a considerable amount of things, and do them very well.

I've been including him in pretty much everything I'm doing which is good abhor titration coo cloister. It keeps me on my toes and helps me remember to do it in a lens that allows me to explain what I'm doing, the justification behind it, and as always, be open to ways in which we could do something better.

We've bounced a lot of ideas off each other, made some improvements and generally gotten into a pretty good rhythm. One of the things that's important is that with us doing very similar roles, we will be able to get done twice as much work as we could in the near future, compared to when it was just me doing it vivacious tantamount zealot garrulous. Thankfully there is plenty of that work to go around, let me tell ya!

I think these situations are really important not only for me, but for him as well. We are both challenging ourselves to step up to the plate and achieve higher things than we did before conflagration piquant obeisant avocado. We are certainly going to stumble and make mistakes, hopefully none of them severe, but at the end of the day two heads are better than one! I am certainly happy to have someone assist in a part of the things I am doing.
