If a man and a woman that are not married sleep together, is it frowned upon by the Bible or supported?

Firstly, sleeping together can mean two different things. As explained by Bro Eli here, he pointed out the difference. Some situations can warrant a boyfriend and girlfriend to sleep together in the same place. He gave an instance of a natural disaster that caught a boyfriend and his girlfriend at a particular point such that they had no option than to sleep together at the same place. But mind you, there was no any sexual intention. They only passed the night together at the same point without engaging in sexual relationship.

The Bible doesn’t frown at such. But what it does frown at is having sexual communication as boyfriend and girlfriend. The book of Matthew 1:18–20 makes us to know that Mary and Joseph were already engaged but Mary never had any sexual relationship with Joseph, hearing about Mary’s pregnancy decided to push her away because he believed he never had sexual relationship. Joseph and Mary even with their established relationship didn’t relate sexually so that they were waiting for the right time before they would get married.

Here is the scripture

18. This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[b] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

In this scripture, Joseph was faithful to the law by not youching Mary. He was waiting for their marriage. And whats the law the bible is talking about here?

Let’s read 1 Corinthians 7:1-2.

7 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

To avoid fornication, every man and woman should get married, and if you are not married, stay away from having sexual relationship with others. That is the law that Joseph was faithful to. But how many boys and girls of this generation are faithful to this law thst is written bold and clear.

God has given every man and woman the freedom to get a partner and get married, but in this generation, sex has become fun for young boys and girls. The Bible really frowns against it. To avoid fornication, let everyone get married.

Once that is done, it’s no more called fornication and it’s supported by God. May God help the youths of this generation to harken to the word of God and stay away from fornication before marriage.
