Lunch Adventure Turned Happy Surprise

Hello, good day @family & friends! Today, I want to share a little adventure my friends and I had while chasing our lunch cravings.

We were all in the mood for some delicious lechon, so our first plan was to head straight to Makoy’s Bellychon. Nothing beats a juicy, crispy lechon for lunch, right? We were so excited as we made our way there, imagining the flavors we were about to enjoy. But when we arrived, we were met with a little disappointment the place was closed for a team building.

At first, we were a bit frustrated, but we didn’t let that ruin our day. A quick look around and we noticed Cafetana, just nearby. Since we were all hungry, we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. Cafetana may have been smaller in terms of space, especially after the recent earthquake, but it didn’t matter. The cozy atmosphere made our lunch feel extra special. They have a two-story house, but for safety reasons, the second floor was temporarily closed because of the ongoing aftershocks. Still, the first floor was welcoming, and we quickly settled in.

As for the food, it was fantastic! I ordered a chicken meal with extra rice, paired it with takoyaki, and enjoyed it with iced tea. Each bite was so satisfying, and sharing stories with my friends while eating made it even better. Even though it wasn’t the lechon we were originally craving, our lunch at Cafetana turned out to be a memorable experience.

Leaving Cafetana, we felt satisfied not just with our tummies, but with the experience. It reminded us that plans may not always go as expected, but with the right mindset and good friends, detours can become memorable adventures.
