today was A wet and windy day but it is Saturday and that meant it was ParkRun day.

I woke up assuming i'd walk to my normal local one but a couple of friends (the ones who originally got me into Parkrun) invited me out to go to a different one but it was a surprise!

What made the trip fun is that it was just a 25-minute car ride and we arrived well before the start time and even though one of my friends travels to Parkruns all over the UK (for fun because doing the same one is boring) he and the other never visited this one.

We arrived about 20 minutes before start time so I got in some stretches and even remembered my Skipping rope so I spent a little time using that just to get my hard pumping.

Around 10 minutes before start time we saw the group of volunteers begin to from and so we joined them for the morning briefing. Too my surprise this park run isn't that popular they always have plenty of volunteers the lady said but in terms of runners they get around 20-40 per run today was 37.

The route was quite nice set on some school grounds which had a nice mix of smooth tarmac and grass, very flat route but with it not being a square-shaped run it was very fun.

I felt very good in the run I set a new PB!

This is my 4th parkrun event, I wish I could do them every weekend but I work quite a few of them so that's where my evening runs come into play. Overall a nice parkrun in A quiet village a lot of very friendly people today.
