Hello, my ladies.
You know, this prompt just reminded me of all my attempts at learning languages using the Duolingo app. Every time, I was pumped up to begin, but sometime in between. I'd either get stuck or bored and that would bring me to the end of that particular trial until a long while after when I'd go back, to possibly learning some other language, which I'd dump soon after, again.

Right now, I speak the English language, my native language(Igbo) and the pidgin English/vernacular which is common amongst my country people(I'm not very sure if this one counts anyways). When spoken, I understood very few of the many languages in my country, though.

Meanwhile, I would really love to learn and speak other languages. Spanish, growing up was what everyone else seemed to hold interest in. Not me, anyway. I liked French. I used to know how to speak it to a degree, but due to lack of practice, I guess it's now very foreign to me(even just yhr basics). Right now, Chinese is the one language I can't wait to start to learn. There's a beautiful, hilarious, heavy ring to the words and their pronunciation. The spellings have me amazed, too. In addition, I've always ranked the country amongst the very firsts that I'd love to visit and live in for a while for a number of reasons. I believe that learning the language would help with my stay and ensure smooth communication and transaction.

Away from a foreign language, I wished I could learn every indigenous language in my country. It's fascinating how there are so many and how peculiar they all are. Language bridges the gap and creates some bond and kinship. Maybe learning Hausa(the language of the north) is what interests me the most now. But surely, all other ones come right behind.
