Market Friday: Checking Out Some Bread in the Convenience Store
5 comments
Today is Friday, and we went to the town proper this morning around 10:00. We needed to go to an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) to withdraw some money. And since we are already near the market, we have decided to stop by on a convenience store to check out something to eat.
As soon as we entered the store, we could feel the cold breeze coming from their air-condition and the usual fragrant smell of this convenience store. We came here to look for something we can eat. We started roaming around.
We walked towards the chips, the drinks, up to the part where the various kinds of bread are displayed. We finally found what we are looking for. Actually, there are plenty of available foods here from donuts, Siopao, rice meals, and many more. But, we are looking for something in particular, some Ensaymada. Lucky for us, we found the signage right away.
They have something we are looking for, displayed on top of the shelves. We saw the Ube Ensaymada, and beside it was the Yema Bun. We already tried these two, but we are after the Ube Ensaymada today. There are a few items left, which means people are buying these two fast.
Since we are already here, we also started checking out the other kinds of bread they have. There are flavored buns and cream rolls. Some of the shelves are already empty. Also, there are slice breads in different brand names.
You can choose between flavored ones or the ordinary slice bread. We decided not to buy much, and only the Ensaymada. We bought two pieces, and paid them in the cashier. Then, we already headed back home.
That's the simple story behind our Market Friday.
