Today I want to share with you my visit to a 17th century church in Amsterdam, where 3D mapping was taking place on the walls and domes of the building. From the curators of the exhibition, I learned that the idea of this installation was to show the connections between the paintings and the cultural importance of Vincent Van Gogh and Rembrandt. The projection is located in the Protestant church "Hoopgepkepk" ("North Church"), built in 1623 and visited by both artists. This is a place that can be said to be one of the lively neighborhoods of Amsterdam, where Dutch history and multicultural modernity harmoniously coexist.

As you can see from my photos, the spectacular audiovisual show looks like a fairy tale where these beautiful works are woven, and I had the opportunity to be a part of it. This captivating spectacle with its unique visualization was an unprecedented event for me.

The artwork is projected onto all the walls, floor and ceiling, creating a 360-degree canvas that tells the story of two of the greatest artists in human history. The “meeting” between Van Gogh and Rembrandt seemed to come alive for me.

The show lasted about 30 minutes, during which I had the opportunity to touch these great artists who created during two different eras - Baroque and Post-Impressionism and left their bright mark on the world history of art.
