1.If you could have any animal as a pet, which one would you choose and why, would you prefer the male or the female of that species?

I have always thought that having a pet at home, besides bringing benefits to our physical and emotional health, it is important to take into account the care and responsibility involved before making that decision.

Yoglan accompanied us when we went out on errands and looked after us

In my parents' house when we were children we had a big dog, he was with us for about twelve years, Yoglan accompanied us when we went out to run errands and looked after us, his black fur was shinier when my brother was in charge of bathing him, it was very sad when he died.

I remember that for a while I had the feeling that he was somewhere in the house, my unconscious was looking for him and I felt his presence. I think that later on I would be encouraged again to get a dog to take care of him and take advantage of his company.

The arrival of the hummingbird

In my house I have a garden environment and since we moved in, the hummingbird started to visit us. This would respond to having any animal as a pet, I love hummingbirds, no matter if they are male or female, because the difference between them is their plumage.

So together with my daughter we bought a container where we prepare their food, now they visit us up to four daily, because they have the freedom to come to our garden at all times and at all hours to feed on the nectar that we prepare for them every three days.

From what I have read, in some cultures, hummingbirds are believed to be messengers of the gods or may symbolise the presence of a deceased loved one or a reminder of the beauty and possibilities of life. The arrival of a hummingbird is said to be associated with the magic of seeing better times and blessings.

2. We all have something we would like to change about ourselves. It could be something physical, a character trait or anything else. What is the one thing you would choose to change about yourself and why?

For some time I was concerned about the opinions of others, because the opinions of those who criticise me should not matter to me, and those who really matter will surely not join some critic.

When I sought to meet the expectations of others, it made me feel like I was carrying a weight on my shoulders, it was like a constant echo that questioned me, judged me. Because I had this need to explain myself to my family and friends, for every decision I made, as if deep down I wanted the approval of others.

With the maturity that life has given me, I believe that it is not fair to live in a constant review of previous decisions, just as many people do and undo everything they want and I respect their choice, because I do not give them my opinion.

So I decided it was the time to break that behaviour, to stop looking for permissions and to stop giving answers that are not due to us. It's my time to just be, without the burden of having to clarify every step.

I believe that as a woman I have the power and the right to define myself. Without allowing the expectations or judgments of others to shape my essence. I am free, I am authentic, and I should not feel the need to justify who I am or the choices I make. I choose to embrace my truth and live with the conviction that I am enough as I am.

The expectations of the world do not weigh, when my truth and conviction are clear. Every struggle, every laugh, every tear, every achievement is a reflection of the fact that I do not submit, but move forward with faith in God.

En la casa de mis padres de niños teníamos un perro grande, estuvo con nosotros durante doce años aproximadamente, Yoglan nos acompañaba cuando salíamos hacer recados y nos cuidaba, su pelaje negro quedaba más brillante cuando mi hermano se encargaba de bañarlo, fue muy triste cuando, murió.

Entonces junto con mi hija compramos un recipiente donde le preparamos su alimento, ahora nos visitan hasta cuatro diariamente, porque ellos tiene la libertad de llegar cada rato y a toda hora a nuestro jardín para alimentarse del néctar qué le preparamos cada tres días.

2. Todos tenemos algo que nos gustaría cambiar de nosotros mismos. Puede ser algo físico, un rasgo de carácter o cualquier cosa. ¿Qué es lo único que elegirías cambiar de ti y por qué?

Durante algún tiempo estuve preocupada por la opinión de los demás, pues las opiniones de aquellos que me critican no deberían importarme, y aquellos que realmente importan, seguramente no se unirán a algún crítico.

Cuando buscaba llenar las expectativas de otros, me hacía sentir como si llevara un peso en mis hombros, era como un eco constante que me cuestionaba, me juzgaba. Porque tenía esa necesidad de dar explicaciones a mis familiares y amigos, por cada decisión que tomaba, como si en el fondo quisiera la aprobación de otros.

Con la madurez que me ha dado la vida, creo que no es justo vivir en una constante revisión de decisiones previas, así como muchas personas hacen y deshacen todo cuanto quieren y respeto su elección, pues no les doy mi parecer.

Entonces decidí que era el momento de romper ese comportamiento, de dejar de buscar permisos y de entregar respuestas que no nos deben. Es mi tiempo de simplemente ser, sin la carga de tener que aclarar cada paso.

Pienso que como mujer tengo el poder y el derecho de definirme a mí misma. Sin permitir que las expectativas o juicios de otros moldeen mi esencia. Soy libre, soy auténtica, y no debo sentir la necesidad de justificar quién soy o las decisiones que tomo. Decido abrazar mi verdad y vivir con el convencimiento de que soy suficiente tal y como soy.

Las expectativas del mundo no pesan, cuando mi verdad y convicción son claras.
Cada lucha, cada risa, cada lágrima, cada logro, son el reflejo de que no me someto, al contrario, sigo avanzando siempre con la fe puesta en Dios.
